Upper Structure Triad Tapping Example
Added 2020-05-04 18:09:27 +0000 UTCHere's a short tapping idea that uses a concept from my 'Plural Substitutions' document / lesson. The idea is that I'm playing an interval pattern / triad structure over top of a harmony. In this case, the triad highlights the tones of the harmony that I find most interesting.
For example, an A major triad is contained with the structure of a DMA9 chord. In this case, if you play an A triad over to of DMA9, you are highlighting the 5, 7, and 9 of DMA9. Check out the 'Plural Substitutions' document for more on this idea.
