Basic Tapping Ostinatos (3 Against 2 And Keeping Quarters In The Left Hand)
Added 2020-04-19 18:17:54 +0000 UTCHere are some really useful exercises for improving your rhythmic / groove game while tapping. The goal here is to work towards independence in your left and right hand by keeping two separate rhythmic ideas going at the same time.
I really recommend checking these out as these will absolutely help your overall musicianship, and will be the basis for some great new lines!

No problem! Yeah it's a super cool tuning, and I totally feel you about the rhythm stuff. I think right now thats definitely something I'm also super interested in. And yeah, this stuff is definitely on a sliding scale of difficulty - you can make each one way harder if you change the pitches more frequently! I didn't see the AF video but I'll check it out!

I've been obsessed with rhythmic stuff like odd meters and playing to random Morse code. This fits right it. i love how it is complex but simple, and very movable. Did you watch that American Football - Stay Home youtube that posted this morning? Great lesson as usual.
