A Few Recommended Music Apps And Resources

Here are some resources I recommend checking out:
Mobile
- Get a tuner app, I use the boss tuner app and that works really well for me. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.co.roland.bosstuner&hl=en_CA
- Metronome. There are a bunch out there, but I use this one. P.S. You should always be practicing to a metronome! .https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andymstone.metronome&hl=en_CA
- Drumgenius. This is a really cool app that has tones of drumloops to play a long to. If a metronome gets boring and you want the feel of playing with some kind of drummer, this is pretty awesome. It also has grooves in odd meters. https://apps.apple.com/ca/app/drumgenius/id492279351
- Voice Memo. Every phone should have a voice memo app, but if you don't have one, make sure you get one right away. I'm always recording ideas into my phone.
- Piano App. I recommend getting some kind of piano app / app that can generate pitches. If I'm on the go and I have a melody in my head, using a piano to pluck it out is really useful. Here's a random one I found, but any should work. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/piano/id1126477246
- Tenudo. Tenudo is an excellent Music Theory skill building app. It contains lots of drills that will help to sharpen your rudiments. https://apps.apple.com/ca/app/tenuto/id459313476
Computer Based / Websites
Guitar Pro - Guitar Pro is a guitar based notation software. It's very easy and intuitive to use. I use this software to create tabs for all of my guitar stuff. https://www.guitar-pro.com/en/index.php
Musescore - Musescore is a free notation software. If you're looking to write stuff for other people to play, this is a great place to start. https://musescore.org/en
Teoria - Teoria is an amazing Music Theory / Skill building website. They have a bunch of exercises and resources related to theory. If you want to build up your music rudiments, this is the place to go. https://www.teoria.com/
