Charge upfront update

I received a reply to my question from Patreon and as I understand it, your reward is based on your pledge amount and not what tier you are placed in.

This means if you have not switched over to a new tier, and still pledging at the old $1 and $3 tiers then when I post content you will not receive it since you are not pledging a dollar amount that I will be posting under.

My question and the response given is pasted below.  With this information I will push back the switch to charge up front to Monday, Jan 30th. To give folks more time to make the switch. 

My question:

Hello, I was originally charging patrons per creation but decided to switch over to charge up front. I would only post four comic pages that I would charge for each month and had two tiers, a $3 and a $1.

When I set up my new tiers I decided to take my $3 dollar tier (and the reward associated with it) and replace it with a $10 tier and the $1 tier (and the reward associated with it) was replaced with $5 tier.

When I saved my changes I noticed that most of the patrons pledging $1 were moved to the $10 tier and the $3 patrons were placed into the $5. This reversed the reward that these patrons are expecting for when they originally signed up. 

My may concern is how do I get those patrons who were originally part of the $3 tier into the $10 tier so that they receive the rewards that they originally sign up for?

Hey Shane,   I'd be happy to help out here.   Ah - all patron-only content is made available to patrons depending on their   dollar amount being pledged and not the reward tier they are in.   The rewards are handled by you (the creator) so if anything it would be   helpful for them to be labeled correctly for when you distribute   rewards.   That being said, there is no way for you to manually move these patrons. The   only way would be for them to edit their pledges and they will only be able   to pledge to a reward tier that is either equal to or lower than the amount   they are pledging.
