[META UPDATE 2/4] Now with Tokens! (Portrait + Topdown)

Hello again Patrons!

It's time for the next exciting update you have been promised, and out of the 4 updates, this one I think is my favourite!

Just to recap, as has been mentioned, we've been doing a lot of thinking and crunching time to decide how best we actually want to run A.C going forwards, what we want to offer, how we want to offer it, the schedule of what we put out and the format of the content. We first decided to roll out Item and Spell Cards which I'm sure you've noticed being added into every post of items since!

The next of these updates is how we deal with our Monsters. So similarly to how we dove into the item cards - lets go into the Monster Update, using my favourite all time homebrew monster of ours, the Leafmingle:

Portrait Tokens. As seen above in the main image and below in more detail, we're slowly going through and creating portrait frames for every monster type in 5E. We'll be putting these tokens in for Founder's and future higher tiers for every monster release.

Topdown Tokens. The most exciting part of this update (well for me as we at A.C use topdown more than anything else) - TOP DOWN tokens of the monsters. These can be downloaded with the monster release alongside the portrait token, and can be used for any VTT that you use.

Unwatermarked Concept Art. Similar to the Item update - we'll be adding the unwatermarked concept image to the monster posts also.

D&D Beyond Integration. We have I believe up to this point been in and out, umming and ahhing on the inclusion of monsters on the virtual side - but we're going to be creating them on D&D beyond and inlcuding the link to all patrons of the relvent tiers also.

One Pagers. A 'One Pager' is what I'm using to reference the title image above. It's a condensed, quick reference guide on the monster. It will have the stat block, any lair actions and other ultra important info, as well as the main image and tokens on the page so everything you need is all in one place - plus it looks nice.

The Portrait Tokens

So we're currently halfway through making the frames for each monster type within 5e. These frames above give you a rough idea of how the next half is going to go. The frames themselves will be provided wihtout any monsters in around the time of the next meta update of the patreon. We are considering creating a frame for every Class in 5e also, and in the future we probably will, but we're just starting with the monster types!

The Top Down Tokens

An amazing friend of ours is starting their own D&D journey in token creation and is joining up with us and helping out in creating our top down view tokens for VTT. His work is incredible and we absolutely love the artstyle for the tokens and are very excited to help support him as he ventures forth into the world of Token Making! There will be further information on this when they're officially up and running, but we just wanted to show this sneak peak for now with the upcoming changes! Exciting!

Concept Art

Quite simply - alongside the rest of the goodies, we'll be including the original image of the monster. Do with it as you please!

One Pagers

As said above - we'll be condensing this info for a quick once over reference sheet for you to use. We understand most of the time you want to prep the session, get the tokens hidden on the GM layer for an ambush, and prepare a journal entry with the monster image. But sometimes it just doesn't work that way, and you need all of your info right in front of you at the drop of a hat! That's what we're attempting here - Stat Block, Portrait, environmental theme, drag it up and you're good to go.

D&D Beyond Integration

As with the items and spells we make, the monsters will also be making an appearence on our favourite platform:
