Hello, patrons and adventurers of Athana! Today we're adding a truly divine item to our expanding universe - the Wings of Mercy. This legendary artifact is inspired by the iconic figure of Mercy from Overwatch, but with a unique twist that integrates it deeply into the lore of our world, specifically within the pantheon of the Unity, and specifically the goddess Compassion.

Lore

In the celestial hierarchy serving Compassion, one archangel stood out for her unparalleled dedication to the cause of healing and protection: Merciel. Known as the Beacon of Hope, Merciel was a figure of immense benevolence, wielding her divine powers to shield the innocent and mend the wounded. Drawing inspiration from Mercy, we reimagined Merciel not just as a healer, but as a symbol of the ultimate compassion and mercy that defines the goddess she serves. Merciel's known far and wide in Athana as the last bastion of hope of those whom prey to the goddess of Compassion, one who's worship has been dying out for generations. These wings, now accessible to our players, carry the essence of Merciel's divine mission.

Crafted from divine light and reinforced with engraved electrum plating, the Wings of Merciel grant their wearer abilities that embody the spirit of a compassionate battlefield savior.
