The really hilarious part about the lead-lined backpack is that I watch a show called Border Security about the Australian Customs Service and there was one episode where drug smugglers had put lead-lined packages in a suitcase so that their drugs wouldn't be seen by the scanners, but that's what actually attracted the attention of the Customs Officers - they were like, look at all those big, obvious black spots on our monitors it's almost like there's some material that our scanners can't penetrate such as lead or something, what a strange thing to have in a suitcase, let's investigate further. I can only imagine how sus a whole backpack that the scanners can't see into would be.
