So, the remark about Elizabeth Smart reminded me of something. She's still Mormon. Like, I get that Utah people typically are but you'd think after an experience like that, you'd be all like "God is DEAD!" Not only that, Smart served a mission. What?! It happened while I was living here and I thought that was the most stupid thing ever. What's her pitch? "Hey, I'm the person who got kidnapped in Salt Lake City. You should join my church because God is awesome. Sure, he didn't do shit to help me. He could've whispered where I was to the prophet of God who works there in Salt Lake and he could've just told the cops or something, not expecting a 70 year old to come running to my rescue. But God didn't because he's weird like that. Totes crazy." I'm surprised the Mormon church accepted. If I was in charge I'd be like "Lots of people can serve mission, the more the merrier. But her? No. We need to keep the fact that she's Mormon under wraps on a 'Bush did 9/11' level." I'd be surprised if she didn't find one person who, after hearing her story didn't go "I'm not sure what religion is true, but I know yours isn't!".

Never has so little happening been so hard to follow.
