Kicking off Mormon Movie Month with the help of the incomparable David Michael from My Book of Mormon, and if this week's selection is any indicator, these Mormon flicks are a GOLDMINE.

Like the MST3k real time idea. Tried this one with the YT on mute and GAM in the background and it works pretty well. Is this what is planned for Passion of the X?

I used to live in Hawaii and met some of the people who were a part of it. Granted, I met them many years after. In fact, one of the nicest guys is Mahana's father. He acts so rude to her but the guy playing him is just wonderful. It seems so odd to see him in that role after meeting him. Also, his singing voice is incredible.

The acting is not good at all... ...The film is not meant to win any Oscars. You have to admit that because of its age, it is going to seem a little bit corny. The cinematography chosen is more like they are performing a play. It is really fun to watch the special effects for its time. ...It is at times torture to watch, but you have to remember that you are watching it for its message."
