I do believe that this was the way the show hit its stride as well! Believe it or not I would not consider the first two or three seasons of the show bad by any means, but it is widely considered within the fandom that they are the weakest season one specifically so if that’s any indication as to where the show will go and the height that will reach You’re in for an amazing ride!!!

The writers and producers saw her and Shemar Moore on-screen and off-screen chemistry and began expanding Garcia's role. The playful and affectionate dynamic between Garcia and Morgan became a feature of the series. A show like this needs a smart, quirky, blonde person able to do info dumps and be comic relief. The exact same thing happened on Arrow with Emily Bett Ricards. Spencer's mom was played by comedic actress Jane Lynch, who gained fame on Glee - for which she won an Emmy - and has hosted an evening game show.
