This is by far the worst episode of the third season and other than the singing episode, the worst of the series. The appearance of Trelane from the TOS episode "The Squire of Gothos" as a child Q was an awful decision. The only redeeming thing was they preserved canon by having him appear as a Vulcan first and then as an Andorian to the crew but as Trelane to us. The Wham song at the end was even more insult to injury.
