Corrupt - Vasen, Rage
Hoo boy. How do I even start to explain these things.
Okay so. Way back when Vasen weren't Vasen, they were another thing. Just bear with me, I know this sounds stupid. But these other things, these Not!Vasen, couldn't get too angry, or too sad, or happy, or whatever. And if they felt something just a titch too strong, BAM.
They turned into one of these. Corrupts.
This one in particular is a Rage Corrupt. Don't go near them. Don't fight them. Just run. If they hear you, you're already dead.
Hope that they kill you.

Corrupts can turn any living thing into another Corrupt simply by wounding them. No one is sure how it works; it's not a venom or poison, it's not a gambit of artifice like what the Engineer Corps works with, and it's not the sickness that spreads from the Monument. It is entirely unique.
Even a scratch can do this. Fortunately, we've developed both poultices and magic that can stop the transformation, and even reverse the process, but for these creatures it is already too late.
One more thing to note; those crystals on their body are not just for show. Aside from being a pain to be hit with, they can store vast amounts of magic beyond anything their distant relatives, the Vasen, can handle.
