About the Radio Silence

Really sorry! About 60% into finishing the combat manual which was gonna be released this month, my fiance slipped and broke his ankle. Ive had to take close care of him for 2 weeks now and havent had ANY time to focus on the project.

For this I am deeply sorry.

Regulwrly scheduled content will resume soon.

Monster of the Week: Sporuler

Bannock's Guide to the Monsters of Mejina

 Sporuler

So, Sporulers are pretty much harmless. Nuisance animal, sure; they'll destroy crops, rot wood and leave a trail of slime that smells like death wherever they go. But they're not really all that dangerous. Hell, killing them isn't even worth it. They explode into spores when they die, and in a couple months you'll have like eighty more.

On occasion, fresh Guildies or fo...

Man, this poor Moeuvra. Well, I'm told actually that this ISN'T a Moeuvra, but some kind of ancestor species. Which is kinda horrifying when I think about that for any amount of time, so I'm just not gonna.

It's hard to tell from the picture, but I just need to get across how HUGE these things are. They're like nearly twice the size of a regular Moeuvra, and...

Man, I just CANNOT TAKE THESE LITTLE GUYS SERIOUSLY! Look at their little faces! I just wanna scritch em under the chin and call them a good little bonepile. Rattly boys. Yeah.

...Okay, so now that I've gotten it out of my system. DON'T do ANY of what I just said.

As funky as they look, Osteoliths are brutal. They stay buried in the ground ...

Feedback very welcome and I hope, that this was worth it.

Why do we know it's called a Hyehorse? Because they tell us every single time!

Okay so these things are very not harmless. I know it doesn't seem it; you take one look at these poor things stumbling around, constantly losing their balance, cheerfully spouting word salad out of their mouth. And you just wanna comfort them, or maybe laugh at them.

Ask yourself why they never fall over.<...

Veter Mocked? Vett Ur Macked? Eh, I don't really care.

I wouldn't say these things are harmless, but damn are they ever handy. They're smart, and while they don't speak, they'll still "talk" to you by drawing pictures in the dirt or something like that. They love helping people out and love to carry stuff around, so they make great pets or work animals. And t...

So I have no idea what's happening with these guys. Did this thing steal an Adventurer's gear? Did it kill an Adventurer and now it's puppeting their body? Is this just the real form of Adventurers in general? I dunno and I'm not about to go looking for answers, so instead I'll just tell you what they do.

Stooges have a lot of the same skills as your average Adven...

The Gamblers

"Oh dear, darling, that looks like another win for me~"

Eustace slammed his cards on the table and put his head in his hands. The portly Lisra was shaking behind the table, tapping his booted heel against the floor in a manic rhythm.

His entire morning had been this. Resting from a successful delve and feeling flush from both the reward and the loot, Eustace had ordered his entire party drinks with a portion of his share. After finishing, his three friends had gone off for a day o...

OKAY, where do I even start with these.

I think Emotos are a "monster" entry not because they're a threat, but because they're creepy as all get-out. They look like they'll eat ya and they just... don't.

Now, because the picture doesn't have anything for scale, I just need to get across how BIG these things are. These gearbox egg nightmares are...

Okay, NOW I'm jealous.

These things are weird. I don't like the makeup thing they got going on, it's really creepy. They're all over the Wreckage area, but they've spread out to the nearby kingdoms too. They like dark, closed-in places, so you'll typically find them hiding in caves and abandoned ruins, stuff like that. You'll still see the odd one in broad daylight though.

Runaways

Outcasts don't fear judgement. They take care of the things they love no matter what; Shaesi looked over the Vasen with warmth, but she couldnt even try to meet her gaze.

It was only the first day she'd left town and already she'd gotten fist first into trouble, as a new guild graduate,   La'era found herself swarmed by a collection of Woodwicks. Shaesi threw herself into the fight, into trouble without thinking. After all, a pretty girl getting bloodied by some overgrown stum...

Yeah I've just given up at this point. The only reason why these three are lumped together is because they all make more of themselves. Are Kokeshi Corrupts too? Ha.

The Cards of Rhonif the Diviner

The Cards had been a part of her life for longer than she could remember. From the day she was old enough to learn how to use them, her Grandfather Sheil taught her dutifully what they meant, and how they tied into her place in the world.

Recently having been ostracized from the Collegiate for her radical views on Direct Resonance, and an incident in which she accidentally summoned a Creature called the Burning Witness, the young Scavenger set off on her own, but she had no idea that th...

Roadmap!

So, plans!

Each month for the coming, next 17 months (wow thats over a year!) Is going to focus on each of the ingame playable races. With about every third month taking a break from that to Do a Class instead.

The idea of this, is mainly to do a deep dive into the culture and primarily, the mechanics associated with each race so you can have a good understanding of how they work, what they're about and how to roleplay as them.

Much the same for months ...

Question Time!

Im going to be doing a writeup and demoing one of the races in its entirety this month.
Im going to do each race once a month.

Should I do them in Numerical order (as they appear in the book?)
Or should I get you guys to pick the order?

Okay so. Way back when Vasen weren't Vasen, they were another thing. Just bear with me, I know this sounds stupid. But these other things, these Not!Vasen, couldn't get too angry, or too sad, or happy, or whatever. And if they felt something just a titch too strong, BAM.

About Classes and the Game

So I havn't figured out fully yet how to exactly... Explain all of this but. Here's a rundown.

The game currently features a fully realised world with about 20 basegame campaigns.

17 Races, and in the alpha playable Demo, 11 Classes.

There will be about 30 to 40 monsters and 2 full campaigns, just for the first alpha. But the final released game will include much more, and a full suite of 22 playable Classes. Of course. we'll only get there through a lot of ...
