These poor guys need to get more sleep! Their eyes look about to fall out their heads.
Mycoliths are some kinda living mushroom? Apparently some mage down in Maripol made them as a solution to their village's food shortage, but he's gone missing and these things have gone out of control, so I guess it didn't really work out.
Mycoliths are pretty weak in a fight alone, or even in small groups, but there's a good bet that where there's one, you'll find twenty more. They can't do much harm one by one, but they'll wear you down in large groups. They're impossible to exterminate so don't bother, just farm them like they were meant to be and enjoy a nice grilled mushroom steak for dinner!
Stahl's Notes
The idea that we were meant to eat these humanoid mushrooms with massive eyes makes me feel like I want to vomit. It evokes a sense of cannibalism that I cannot begin to divest my mind away from. What if these are sentient?
I know theyre not. In fact Id make the argument that the Mycolith is as FAR from intelligent or capable of consciousness as it gets. And yet the thought of eating one sends me through absolute terror.
These creatures should never have been made and officially, the guild's stance on this is, much like the Aesgel, it is illegal to perform this level of Homonculomancy. However, since this particular creature has already been made and theres no reason to actively even try to get rid of them. So we let this one slide.
