why does everybody say dexter is just like paul. first rita now debra. paul raped, abused, manipulated and used the fact she defended herself against paul attempting to rape her again to force her to let him see the kids. the daughter witnessed the abuse and was the one to call police. dexter didnt even cheat on rita. rita heard the voice message, assumed he cheated and broke up with him. and then only after did he have sex with lila out of frustration. then after that rita called and he said he didnt have sex with her at the hotel and she once again assumed he cheated again without even hearing his side at all. sure he lies to her about where he goes and at the start technically used her for his public image as a normal guy. but still thats nowhere near the same as rape and physical abuse and manipulation that paul did.

I served as an infantryman with the 101st Airborne Division from 2007 to 2010. 15 months in Iraq. Most vets come off as abrasive and no nonsense. They brainwash us to be that way lol
