On another issue, don't you think that social democrats like yourself (you're not a dyed in the wool socialist, right) would be better to move into the Liberal Party - as they are doing with the US Democratic Party. The Liberal Party could use the commitment, to say nothing of the eloquence, of NDP members. Bob Rae (who could speak on his subject with prompting for hours because it came from his heart) did it, but there have to be the numbers of like-minded people so that the Bob Rae's of the NDP could make the changes. Otherwise they would be drowned out just as I believe the small number of SDs in Washington will be.

Just for some perspective on Obama saying things cost to much, on top of going from 3 to 8 wars and ramping up the military budget, the Fed gave $85B per month to banks in Quantitative Easing and they used that money to buy back stocks. 2009 was their highest profit year! Just Google
