I told you it's not a spoof. It's just a Star Trek inspired SciFi, standing on its own feet, with a bit more humor. 😊 As far as I'm informed, Seth MacFarlane didn't want to be this a comedy at all, but Fox kinda pushed him to make it that way, because they feared to get sued by Paramount (Star Trek), for all the similarities, so they wanted it to be more like a parody. But I'm glad that they didn't really make it a parody in the end.
