Yumiko never forgot who she came with/where she came from. In her position she needs to be more calculated...if she completely goes against Pamela from the beginning, she loses her place/ability to help anyone. You should rewatch (while not shouting over scenes and dialogue) and you can see her subtly playing both sides FOR our people.
