Ford raised his index finger at the side of the table. The waiter got the signal, "woke up". Once he was awake, the other 2 waiters activated. After them, all the others woke up. That all happened in a second, so one can easily miss this.

2023-07-10 19:07:23 +0000 UTCi know it may seem a bit strange how he could stop all of the hosts without seemingly doing anything. but what we do know is that the host respond to audio cues. perhaps he slipped it in during the conversation and we just dont know what it is. much like the other commands they give. "deep and dreamless slumber" turn's them off. perhaps another wording makes them just pause. and as for how the quiet conversation could stop all of them is basically just a transmission from the one pouring the wine who heard it. sending it to the ones nearby and them to the next and so on.
