Haha welcome to Season 5 Grey. This is considered to be the best season of the show by critics and most fans. It's all a matter of preference though so I am really excited to see what you think of it. I am so looking forward to watching it with you. Just fyi. In Season 5 Prequel it shows Jack meeting with Chloe at one point before the events of Day 5. Chloe gives him some updates including about Kim and how she took Jack's death. And then they were attacked by someone unknown, and Jack managed to barely escape. You should watch it, it fills in some gaps. This episode though. So awesome. Another tidbid is that Bill didn't know about Jack being alive. It's confirmed in this episode when Chloe said 4 pp knew about Jack being alive (that's her Palmer, Tony and Michelle).
