I finally caught up with your Patreon releases! Excited to see your reaction to the next episode! I also really loved your description of Rick like a protective dog because I think you hit the nail on the head. That's the thing both Rick and Shane had in common but Shane only considered Lori and Carl to be the family he protects. Rick considers everyone in his group as members of his family/pack.
