Cate is the most tragic character in this show. She’s been used her whole life (Shetty was her mother figure, Vought & Homelander), feared her whole life (her mom locked her in her room & didn’t touch her, Shetty suppressed her), was never given a circumstance where she had a chance to do the right thing, freeing The Woods (what she thought was right) isolated her from the rest of the group, when she tries to be genuine towards them this season they hate her for it.
