2024-07-21 07:07:07 +0000 UTCAnd the big reveal of Daring Do being real.... and me questioning a lot of people's media literacy given a lot of the takes this ep created. So first off, the very fact Daring Do was revealed to be real made a lot of people unhappy for reasons that make no sense to me. Something about it meaning that Ponies don't have any fantasy stories now becuase the one series we heard of ended up being based on reality or something..... IDK I really do not grasp even the basic issues with this reveal. Also a lot of people really flipping out about how the plan to enact scorching heat on the entire valley was OP because it means he'd be controlling the sun and overpowering Celestia and.... no.... no it does not mean that..... how is he altering the Sun if the effect is localized only to this one valley? That's clearly altering something about the valley itself to amplify the solar energy coming in, not altering it at the source. That said, this being Ahui's plan is actually rather great on the part of the writers given the mythological creature he is based on is an ambush predator that drowns beings who come near water holes, since intense, scorching heat means way more victims congregating and much fewer water sources. Also people getting bent out of shape over Daring's line about "My line of work requires keeping secrets" when she publishing all this...... and you know she is writing down every single detail with 100% accuracy and not selectively leaving out certain things she wants to keep secret" Seriously.... some people really just cannot deal with anything not hand delivered explicitly by the narrative existing.... Anyway, I do love this, and I love RD's reactions here, it's a great reminder that for all her ego and bluster, RD really is quite insecure and most of her brashness is her way of hiding those feelings. Also, I freaking LOVE the nerd off between her and Twilight! Also also, Pinkie painting the Indiana Jones style travel line behind them is one of the best damn jokes. As to them just standing around watching.... they were still processing that this was real and not all some story they wer watching play out.

2024-07-16 23:26:56 +0000 UTCYeah lol ya know I'm gonna be leaving a lengthy comment maybe not as informative as seraphems but you'll get my 2 bits. this may be a bit off topic but that blanket does look comfy but bro ya so gotta attend a con and get a real MLP blanket they are SOOOOOOOOOOO cozy I got 4 myself or actually it's prime today and tommorow ya can get some on amazon that are amazingly nice. I got me a complete bed set for gen 5. but moving on I don't have a lot to add to this episode (castle mane-ia) it was fun but nothing to wowwing but stil a great episode to rewatch for fun. the one thing you mentioned I do gotta say is the wings thing when the wings are fully out it is a bit of a power move. rewatch and continue from here to watch when the princesses are doing anything of importance you'll always see their wings fully out and exsposed. now onto the BIG thing about this episode... killing angel. I will not lie I'd be so happy to see him skinned and cooked alive or dead I couldn't care less BUT that is not the issue here. the real issue here is how much do you HATE fluttershy and want to hurt her? seriously how much do you wish to harm her ? I've said it before and I will say it till the end of time, the ONLY reason angel is alive is because of fluttershy. as you saw in the episode she is very devastated at the fact he is trapped and might die if she doesn't save him so lets forget him deserving to die and strait up ask. How much do you want to hurt fluttershy. this is a question you need to answer before you can consider getting rid of him because if he dies flutters is gonna go full on smile HD. angel is a horrible character but flutters loves him and that is the only reason he is still a pet and not a dish for a predator. ok and now onto Daring Don't. I am sorry jack but I am 100% on Leena' side here I can't prove it but I am sure someone can give ya the episode she/he (I am so very sorry leena I don't know your gender just assuming female my apologize if I am wrong) said that and I will tell you why, you said I and I quote "I memorized flawless. We are a work in progress something something" the actual part is "we got dents and we got quirks but it's our flaw's that make us work" but it's ok and also yes it's season 7 because of season 5 not saying why you'll have to watch the panda episode to understand but just a heads up the writer who wrote that episode with that song also wrote the one in season five except he didn't write the season 7 one YEAH confusion with no explanation don't worry you only have 3 season more to wonder "what the **** was he talking about, yeah I am evil ^^. also yes discord is now banging with flutter err hanging with fluttershy. all hail fluttercord <.< >.> no apologize. but onto the dashie do parts. yeah I would 100% of rushed in there and bucked them guys for messing with my idol I don't care you F with those I care about I will F up your world (almost did once but was stopped by friends long story not needed to hear) but on the fact of daring do yes AK is daring do but it's ok she has glasses so no way to tell her apart isn't that right kent? i liked that little hint to superman but I also hated it because really? you can't see the similarities? what if she CHANGED BEFORE YOUR EYES?! oh wait she DID. but I'll calm down it's a show for kids gotta play dumb. ok lets move onto something less .....stressful... right her going fan girl instead of helping do *face to desk hard* ok let me vent this because I've met alot of great artists face to face including many from this show and yes I was in awe with every single one of them but i maintained 1 absolute fact about them all and that was 'they are normal humans that have normal lives' and always showed them the respect not o press them for anything. a example was when John Delancey (discord) was hanging out in the staff lounge of everfreeNW everyone was asking for selfies which he did as he is a great guy who loves his fans> i didnt my only actual interactio with hi was when he was leaving and we shared an elevator. I thanked him for what he had done and wished him a good time as he left. turned out he was very exhausted from all the things he had to do and as a fan I was glad I didn't contribute to his exaction. anyway rant aside I am 100% on twi's side for dragging dashie away as I mentioned with john he had a lot he had to do as a special guest and was exhausted, daring had a lot to as she had to save the ring from doctor no one cares about you err I mean Caballeron. dash was not helping she was self centered and needed the talking to. and finally as for helping when told strait out I don't want your help. yes I would 100% because I'd rather help and not be needed then not help when needed as the end showed daring do did indeed need help and thanks to dash not caring about her wanting help she still did. ok I wanna watch the last 2 but this puppy needs his rest gotta be up for work in 6 hours.

2024-07-16 14:16:50 +0000 UTCAnd we have our first real ep of the season, no progress on the Box, but it is made clear this will be something that comes up throughout the season. We also have what many took to be the start of another season long arc of the Mane 6 fixing up the old Castle, possibly to be Princess Twilight's castle once it was done... we'll see if that's where this goes. So, some trivia, first off, the name is a pun on the Castlevania series. We have another case of "Executives think kids are idiots" executive meddling with the bee suits Aj and RD were wearing during their contest. Since it's not really much of a test if you are wearing a full body suit the makes the bees unable to actually do anything, but some suit insisted they do it that way other wise some dumb kid might go cover themself with bees because the Ponies told them to. For the Pinkie question, we've covered this, Pinkie Pie's movement is an actual IRL quadruped gait called pronking, (though more a deer/antelope then an equine one) and can you think of a term better suited to how Pinkie Pie moves? For your question on how the Castle was destroyed... some of it during the big fight with NMM, but for most of it.... because it's been sitting unattended in the middle of a forest for nearly a thousand years. The fact there is as much left of it as there is is incredible. Angel Bunny (I had to do a hard mental swerve not to write "Angel Dust" there) again, yeah he's a brat, but he does care about Fluttershy and is overall supportive and cares for her.. in his own way. The whole issue is just one episode where he was written by a writer that loves cranking EVERYONE'S assholishness up to 11. Overall, yeah this is a fun ep, and we got to get hints of more reasons for Luna being Best Princess and for Celestia being a total Troll. Just, not much to say beyond really fun ep! Okay on a more direct note... I did have to stop part way through and come back becuase the popcorn eating was getting very frustrating... the sounds of chewing get picked up by the mic really easily and just... ewwww I can't stand hearing those sounds....
