I wanted to have this one done on Halloween but I ended up spending a little more time on it. It was fun taking a break to do a month of themed one. But now that the month is over, I'm gonna get back to some more fanart pinups so be on the look out for a poll!

Finished up Roy this morning! I'm very happy with the colors on this one. Red and pink are one of my favorite combos. Also, someone needs to make these booty shorts. Got a desktop and a couple phone wall-papers attached below.

Hey Patrons! I just wrapped up my steamy Clive and Cid pseudo-book cover. Actually really pleased with how this turned out. If I could have my way, I would just do sexy pulp covers for the rest of my career. I've got wallpapers attached below and as always, I'll have the exported time-lapse and process notes/references up within the next day or so.

I made some minor adjustments to Nightcrawler as well, so I'm reuploading wallpapers for him. I'm working on some similar edits to Daredevil that I want to finish before putting him up in the shop. Trying to adjust the composition so he works better with the rest of the pinups. Hopefully ...
Took a stab at putting a video up. I have very rudimentary editing software, aka, the default one on windows. Ha! Want to explore that more. Figure out how to make it a little more professional looking.

Finally got these boys wrapped up! Took me a bit to figure out how to resolve the background and composition. Drawing scenes with multiple characters is hard. Haha. Lots of little things to balance. It was a good exercise for me to do a piece with a bit more complexity than my usual. My favorite part, aside from the beefcake are the colors. I wanted to go for those old school, water color anime background colors.

Sploosh-ouken! Some WIP on Ken boy. I’ve been doing this initial phase with a brush called Gloaming. I really like it cause it’s a little textural but still easy to draw with. I like when I can use the same brush for lines and colors.

Had a couple covers to wrap up but I couldn’t wait to get going on Ryu. The love for the Ken splashing scene and the Badonkey kick were about matched. I’m starting with the Ken one, but I think I’ll still draw the Badonkey one cause it’s too fun not to. I’ll at least do a nicer drawing than the initial sketch of it. The original fighting game beefcake, Ryu won the poll. It was neck and neck with Simon Belmont but Ryu won by a hair. Here’s some of the ideas I was thinking of. “Badonkey kick, but my pants KO’d”. “Hurrican kick, but my pants KO’d again!” “Bandaid Ryu”. “Ken’s water Hadoken shenanigans”. I think I know which one I’m leaning towards but I’m curious what ya’ll think.

Been drawing a lot lately but hating everything and scraping it. Bleh. It's not uncommon to hit little phases of feeling like I'm not drawing well, so it'll pass. I know most artist on here can relate. It's just annoying when you get those hills you gotta power over. I do like this sketch though so maybe I'm heading into a week of good art. Lol.

Been a minute since I did a poll since I did two characters from the last one. Like I said in the Rictor post, I think I wanna do some original stuff first, but of course I still want to do my fan art thing.
Let's try something different this time and pic a theme first.
Graphic design is my passion. Hehehehe. Got the Time-lapse video attached down below. I realized half-way through painting that his lower torso/legs were way too small. It's funny how you'll spend hours staring at a piece and not even notice.

He is finished! Honestly, I think they need to make Rictor being a skater boy canon. Pretty happy with the way this one turned out. I'm glad you all like his fuzz. I think this is one of my best in terms of body hair. I love body hair, but I don't like painting it and I think I've improved the most with this one.

More Rictor progress! He's more or less finished so I just have the background and the rock effects to wrap up to render. I wanted to use colors from his X-Force look to pepper throughout. Something I'm really please with, which is hardly noticeable, is the slight transparency of the mesh on his hat. Been busy with deadlines this week but I wanted to take some time to explore more pixie designs. Whenever I doodle around, I always want to explore poofy, messy up-do’s. I thought this one looked blossom/petal like. I also like the idea of giving them all unique, body hair designs. You usually don’t associate fairies with being hairy so I think it’s a fun take on them. I don’t have a name for this one yet, so I’ll have to think on it.

It's hard to keep the energy and attitude of a nice a sketch when you redraw it(at least for me) so I like when I feel confident enough with the sketch to work directly on it. Wanted to change it up a bit a with this one. I use to paint stylized and graphic and I sometimes miss doing it. I think these days I'm so focused on improving my anatomy skills that I lose some of the fun and freedom I use to paint with. I was a lot more exploratory. The ideal would be to combine good anatomy and stylzation.
There's so many incredible pinup artist who do such stylized work with very solid looking, coherent anatomy. I want to get there. ...
