So, been kind of harsh on eps lately..... not this time, I freaking LOVE this ep, easily my favorite ep of the season, and I knew you'd love it to! Somany bits of trivia to get to but first, this ep is just a great showing for Fluttershy overcoming for anxieties, in a good way, just, amazing showing for her all around. But let's not neglect that this episdoe highlights all the growth Dash has had this season. Yeah she starts off harsh, but as soon as she remembers it's Fluttershy she's talking to she calms down, and talks to Fluttershy in a way Flutter's would respond to, she goes out of her way to make clear that her concern for Fluttershy isn't just wanting every pony she can get to break the record, she wants Fluttershy to do this, simply so Fluttershy can overcome her fears Then we see her leading the team and, yeah, RD is a natural leader. Sure she's brash, arrogant, but above all she is confident, and the sort of confident that is great at getting her team PUMPED! While also keeping her eye on what matters, and not being willing to give up, and making others not want to give up. This is RD at her best! So trivia, the opening bit where Fluttershy hid in a tree? Pay off for the fandom meme about Fluttershy wanting to be a tree, from a line back in season 1. We also got SOOOO MANY pegasi, some of them went on to become instant fandom darlings... Flitter and Cloudchaser are still some of my favorite pony designs. And of course you got Bulk Biceps! YEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!! Do not question how he flies..... odds are, gravity is just to intimidated to tell him to get down here. We also get more worldbuilding about just how much control the ponies have over the natural cycle, even the water cycle is on manual for them. Just, don't ask how 8 ponies who are meant to have an average of 10 wingpower each being absent can crash their numbers from potentially able to break the 1000 mark, to not even able to break 800. Yeah, as TV Tropes likes to say "Writers can't do math" But, all around this episode was AMAZING! And still one of my favoirte of the series!

2024-06-08 00:32:00 +0000 UTCreally great episode seeing fluttershy overcome her fears and save the day as for her being better then dash at flying no I doubt it but in the right circumstances I do see her being on par with dash. dash is all about speed flutters doesn't care for that so dash has the will to go faster, flutters tho will when lives are at stakes. as for the goku haired pony her name is cloud chaser her and flitter are seen as sisters in the fandom not sure if they are canon tho. Oh and bad news jack you missed a derpy sighting thanks to the comment "bulk biceps is my derpy" literally in the time it took to read that she appeared and disappeared but since you DID say derpy we are gonna give it to you. oh and as for how bulk can fly honestly my best guess would be he scares gravity. tho this did bring up a lot of discussion in the fandom as to why he can fly and scootaloo can't can't be wing to body ratio nor could it be size of wings because yeah bulk has smaller less formed wings then pumpkin cake and she is a foal. oh and one last thing too as I am a big dashie fan I gotta give her credit here for despite wanting to set a record her concerns where with making sure flutters was ok. loyalty at 100%
