The Last of Us - 2x7 - FULL LENGTH Reaction

FULL LENGTH VERSION of The Last of Us Season 2 Finale!

Thanks for watching The Last of Us with us! We will be filming more Vinland Saga tomorrow so there will be new episodes of that later this week! We will also be finishing The Boys and then when that is done I'll put out a poll for what to watch next. I have been jotting down a lot of your guy's recommendations so hopefully you will be pleased with the choices!

Thanks again for all the support,

Lia

“I would eat a tide pod idk.” Between this and her saying she doesn’t mess with the military industrial complex I’m hooked. Molly stan #1 over here

Yes, there are no spoilers. If you're playing the game and you're halfway through and it's Abby's turn, stop. We're excited for your reactions to the differences between the game and the series. We want a live stream of The Last of Part 2, please.

Emad

Yeah regarding what Molly said at the end, it's OKAY to hate Abby. Anyone getting upset about that at this juncture isn't thinking about how it was for them their first time playing. She is literally DESIGNED to be hated. The challenge the writers gave themselves was trying to take that hatred and make you question it when you see Abby's side. For some people it worked, for others it didn't. But anyone giving you shit for hating Abby right now is trying to make you speedrun the emotions they went through while playing which is honestly really counterproductive for what their ultimate goal clearly is.

BB

Yes, you can play the game and stop at exactly the same theater scene with Abby, that's right in the middle of the game. But it's hard to just stop, just like it was horrible to finish the season and wait 2 years for the sequel, it would be the same in the game, a nice touch of the game is to have Ellie's story fresh on your mind and then follow Abby's perspective on those same days and connect the dots.

re: the Scar Island scene: I will say I have seen a few reactors who did take it that way, but the overwhelming majority of people definitely didn't. I feel like that scene *could* have been good, but the way they did it just felt throw away and pointless. I feel like so much of this season - particularly their additions - have fallen into that category of like "I see what you're trying to do, and it's so close to good but not there yet". Overall I really enjoyed this season though, but I feel like it should have been 9 episodes with two full episodes more worth of focus on Ellie's character progression.

I don't exactly recall how that scene where Abby and Ellie meet plays out in the game - there might be a few minor spoilers in it, but otherwise you can totally play right up until then without spoiling Season 3. If you don't want any spoilers for sure I would advice just not letting that scene play out at all, stopping right when it happens (or just spoil yourself because it's a really good story lol)

A Q&A is great idea! I can make a post soon where u guys can ask any questions. But, I think it will only be posted to Patreon because our YouTube audience for this show gets very triggered when we voice our thoughts 😂 And I think we will definitely livestream the game and post the recording on here if possible! Or, we can just film us playing it up to where season 2 ends.

Lia Fiore

Lia, are y'all planning to do a Q&A? I would love to see all 3 of you do a playthrough Part 2 game, just for comparison and I would say finish it all. But as others have said, just stop when the game switches to Abby POV. Also the marketing for Part 2 was really great, some great traiiler that give you the true tone of what the story was post to be/is, besides playing the actual game. And highly recommend "Grounded - Making of The Last of Us Part 1 & 2"

I just wanted to say, thank you for your reactions! I know I was quite critical of episode 2x6. This episode was still little disappointing. I was glad y'all are smart enough to realize Ellie going to the island is a complete waste of story. In behind the scenes, they said "they added because it's post to be a message to Ellie to turn around and quit her revenge quest." But literally, NO AUDIENCE got that, and that's not anybody's fault because the message didn't come across that way. It also undermines Part 2 whole concept which is Ellie descent into madness. I think the best thing I've seen was someone said "Ellie is her own force of nature in Part 2." Amongst this extreme gruesome war, grotesque, and evil, etc. Not only is post to show Ellie is losing more of her childhood, but survival skills and intelligence she's gained in the 5 years she learned from Joel, Tommy, and their original journey. And as crazy as Seattle is, it should be more afraid of her on her revenge quest. Now as I type that, it does seem a little unrealistic, and quite a bit of it comes through gameplay, which is very hard to convey through tv medium. But I never felt from Ellie once. This season overall was rocky, they added some great stuff, more character backstory for Jesse and Dina (great actors/actress) but also at the cost of really Ellie's story.

i dont want to wait 2 years 😢

😂😂😂 I get the hate against abby but also ellie this season has been childish, selfish and a damm liar this entire episode that I'm honestly looking forward to taking a bit of a break from ellie. 1st of all, for ellie to think she would not have to kill anyone innocent or abbys friends, that they would just give abby up without push back is such a childish thought imo, like girl you will need to get your hands dirty, you will have blood on your hands. She also had the nerve to lie to Jesse's face and tell him that she would burn the world to rescue him if he ever got in trouble when she refused to go and save tommy, the only connection to joel she has left, ellie was like nah revenge is more important to me. Hell nah she wouldn't do the same for jesse, gale put it best, she is a liar. The other egregious lie that she said in this episode is that tommy would of want her to choose revenge instead of saving him, girl go back to episode 3 to see Tommy's reaction to this, my guy is only there to rescue you, in jackson he explicitly made it clear that they only go after the living, and that he was apprehensive about the entire plan. Ellie this episode is doing exactly what tommy said joel used to do, come up with excuses and lies to justify what he is right. I like what they are doing with her character tbh, making her more layered by adding this side of arrogance and childishness that wasn't in the game, think it open the narrative more for abby and what's to come. Lastly they killed it with soundgarden at the end there, and honestly all the homage to grunge was a nice touch. Great reaction from non gamers y'all awesome 😁😁 and hopefully idk maybe react to the game or cutscenes from the game up to this point ???the game has a natural stopping point exactly where the season ended and you won't get spoiled on anything that hasn't happened

jose giron

Yes molly you can play the game and not be spoiled on season 3. Just stop playing once Abby and Ellie finally meet

razeric_

“papa y papa” Molly I can’t 😭

W 🌀

I can't wait to see how Molly will feel about Abby in season 3 👀😅 You can play the game, and stop when you get to the Abby POV so you don't have season 3 spoilers

Sue

Yes! Will have an update on that soon!

Lia Fiore

will you all still be watching bridging the rift
