My little Pony eps 3-4

I don't see what you're seeing with the commentary. None of it sounded critical or mocking. It sounds a lot like the running commentary I have in my own head when watching things, he just happens to say it out loud. I do agree with the editing, I've always thought that with this kind of setup, the patreon "cuts" should be the directors cut with everything in it, especially the boring parts.

I think you need to watch Bronies React to kind of get an idea of why people love this show. We like it for genuine reasons as well as the fact that we can joke around with some of it.

The editing makes if feel like you’re skipping through the episodes. If you have to pause it to do something just announce that you need to pause for a second. Plus I’d cut down on the weird commentary a little. It sounds like you’re mocking the show or being disingenuous. Just have faith that it will grow on you in a natural way. Trust me, I was here from the beginning and when I started watching I came in from a cynical place thinking this would be a bad kids show. If you try to force yourself to like it you’ll just end up missing the actual good genuine moments that make you laugh and smile and feel like the world could actually be a better place if we just treat each other with a little honest loyalty, and a generous bit of kindness and laughter. I promise you each episode becomes more personal as you learn who each of these characters are as ponies. They start to become your friends and you start to feel a closeness to all of them.

Cut down on the editing for Patreon. And don’t worry about not being amazed by everything. This show builds on you as you go. Plus I noticed you’re probably too young to get some of the jokes like the benny hill music during the chase scene. Just go with it and people will fill you in on what you missed.

For the tickets, without knowing the gala episode id pick applejack as her motives are important and help others as well. After knowing id pick dash since it had at least some positive gain for her reputation.

The ticket master episode is a really good one it has this huge lesson on sharing with friends and how to if you don't have enough when in all honesty tia never meant to give her a lesson the 2 tickets were meant for spike and twi. but it is nice she found a lesson in them. oh and kind of a spoiler hope you don't like to hear big mac talk he is from here on out reduced to just 2 words. wont say what those are tho ya gonna have to wait and see. also on a personal note bro don't worrry about flooding us with content a couple episodes a week or even 1 a week is fine make sure you save these to extend your content. we appreciate you doing this and will with out a doubt watch every episode you release but make sure you don't speed thru everything in a few months

Oh and as an addendum, there is a lot of fan debate over if sending Twilight only two tickets despite knowing how many friends she has was Celestia being a troll and messing with Twilight. I do not think so, the letter that came with the tickets was a form letter, so likely Celestia just told whatever functionary handles the guest list to add Twilight to it, and she got sent the standard invite and +1, with Celestia figuring if she wanted more, all she had to do was ask.

Next up Applebuck season! And, on a technical note, the video for this one got a bit choppy and skipped a few scenes, mostly the whole Pinkie Pie "Baked Bads" bit. Which, has two major notes, first, Derpy! Best Pony is in the crowd that first shows up for the free muffin samples, and her lip flaps match whatever pony is saying "Muuuufins" leading to her being associated with Muffins as her favorite food, to an obsessive degree sometimes, ever since. Second, Bronies are insane and will do damn near everything, so yes the "Baked Bads" have been created IRL (Though using gummy worms in place of real ones) and.. apparently they aren't half bad. Now I've mentioned executive meddling and how it messed up some of Lauren's ideas (This being Lauren Faust, the main creator of this gen of MLP, also wife to Craig McCracken, the creator of the Powerpuff Girls and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends) This time... they actually had a good idea. The original idea was for this to not be applebucking, but aplebonking, with AJ harvesting the trees by running head first into them... execs thought this would be too likely to have kids running head first into trees and made her change it... this time a good call. So they also had to change the main issue from concussions, to just over tiredness, but still kept a few bits of her being woozy from head injury in. Beyond that, in Background Pony lore (Early on they didn't have many resources to create a lot of models, so reused the same few they had repeatedly, leading to the fandom giving the most common ones entire personalities and lives) we have the Flower Trio, Daisy, Lily, and Roseluck, the three that freaked out and went "The horror, the horror". They have been memed into being Ponyville's early warning system, the first ponies to panic over even the most mild of issues. Also.... don't think to hard about the fact cows can talk... but are still kept as farm animals..... we try not to.... Overall, another fun little ep that serves mostly to flesh out the Mane 6 and the town as we get to know this world. Glad you are loving it so far, it only gets better from here!

Wow racking up those eps! Okay lets do these one at a time, first up The Ticket Master (I'd check out the names of the eps, some of them are amazing puns or wordplay) The first and most important thing to note of any ep, is in this one, 4:41 Derpy! Best Pony is in the crowd in RD's imagine spot. Though she has yet to ascend to her true form. Then we have the whole "Celestia having a nephew" thing which.. makes no sense and is another case of executive meddling. The stallion Rarity was fantasizing about was meant to be a Duke, not a Prince, as Lauren wanted to keep the higher titles exclusive..... but Hasbro said kids would be too dumb to know what a Duke was and to make him a prince. There is some bits of Early installment Wierdness going on at times in these eps as the staff figure out just how they want things to work, such as Spikes' "Ewww girl stuff is icky!" mindset that.... never shows up again after this. Also a neat BTS note on a lot of these early eps, they were originally pitched and the core stories come up with when the crew thought the show would be structured as two, 10-12 minute stories per episode, rather then one 20-22 min one. So the ideas had to get stretched out to fit the new run time, leading to many of the early eps feeling kind of slower paced and more relaxed then things get once they had a better idea the show structure. Other then that.... a Benny Hill gag is never not awesome and just a fun ep that does a lot to further cement some core parts of the Mane 6.
