It's possible that Ishayama decided to make a connection to the word "Niku", to have a double meaning. They're both the things that Sasha loved the most.

She may actually have been trying to say Niccolo's name with her last breath and couldn't but since "niku" is meat, they might have thought since she is a foodie, she was just saying "meat." UGH Isayama is the GOAT!

2024-08-31 02:50:03 +0000 UTCIt's a fun fan theory, but that's all it is. It has no actual basis. In the original japanese manga panel, her text bubble contains the kanji for meat (niku) which looks like this: 肉. Niccolo's name is written ニコロ (nikoro). She was not saying his name.

There are no spoilers lyrics-wise or video-wise because it was written after ep8 when she shot Sasha. A comment about the song in the next reaction or next next would be epic LOL. PLEASE LOL. This show continues to WOW with its story telling. You are totally right when you said that Sasha's death wasn't in vain and that her death story-wise is still paying dividends towards the overall story. Gabi, at this point, was annoying the heck out of me so I totally revisited that annoyance :p You guys are coming up on one of my top AoT episodes so I am super pumped. **I also forgot to say, you mentioned my name once in the Q&A way back. It's just pronounced the way you see it. PH is an F sound, so Fong, but spelled Phong :P No worries. EVERYONE does that to me XD

So yeah, Gabi-Gang REPRESENT!! P.S. Second best is probably KING FLOCH! Also Mikasa acts coldly to Louise because she is a mirror of herself in a way.

Louisse saw Mikasa killing d titan n learned to fight & joined d Survey Corps. Kaya saw Sasha saving her and decided to help people. Brilliant writing. And I feel, Sasha's chrctr arc actually begins after her death. Never seen anything like it.
