In the scene where Annie calls Kenney her dad she is actually lying. She was just tailing him because she probably discovered Kenny had a connection with the real king behind the walls. Kenny is not her father. Again she just said that to try and throw him off because she got caught tailing him. And the guy who hung himself was just some random guy. However Reiner, Bert and Annie used his story, and the name of the village he came from, to help them get into the Scouts. Of course Hange and the rest of the Scouts later discover they were lying about their background. Which is why in Episode 2x6 you get that flashback scene where Hange tells everyone that Reiner and Bert are suspected of being the Armored and Colossal Titan. In short, all the loose ends are being tied up.

He was kind of being sarcastic, describing d mundane/funny stories of d Scouts, and saying it indirectly dat d Paradis Eldians are just d same like them, not devil-like, but human-like. He humanized them, which goes against d beliefs of everyone else sitting in dat table. Thats why, after he finishes, Gabi acts surprised saying something like " what do you mean by 'all sorts of people', aren't they d 'bad people'?".

She told a story that she was his illegitimate daughter from a tryst with a prostitute, which Kenny knew was bs. Annie called him Papa in order to throw him off and possibly get a kick in, but he’s an Ackerman and was ready for it, but was surprised by how strong her kick was.

Reiner is without a doubt my favorite character on the show just because he is so complex and conflicted.

It was improvised, because 1) they're just babies & 2) who would've thought how much Ymir really screwed the plan they've had with her random awakening right then.

The old man killed himself out of guilt. Remember Kenny was working with the Reiss family around this time. Annie was trailing him to get close to the Founding Titan. The "Father" thing was just a cover story because she got caught.
