So basically he found out that the wall extends underground, not sure how long but he spent a lot of time trying to figure out how deep it went and talked to friends about it which eventually led to him "mysteriously" vanishing one day after the military police declared him a criminal.

The thing is that since it's an adaptation of a manga that has issues released in a certain format where it's climaxes are paced differently from a traditional TV show, the show runners just kinda had to pick a place to end it. Case in point, you'll notice the 2nd season only has 12 episodes lol Agreed with Mesbah by the way, the show is kind of split into "arcs" as a collection of episodes that are best watched together, but that's harder to pull off if your guys time is limited with college picking back up. Anyway glad you're enjoying it so far, looking forward to more!
