Darlene goes after Johna to leverage the Byrd's to give her baby Zeke. Not counting the fact that he will be raised and brainwashed by Darlene. Let's think of the outside perspective of this child's life already. He lived with and was "taken care of " by both people/couples responsible for killing both of his parents and the one that raised him most of his life cut him out of his mother.
