Only Jennifer could do a fantastic cover of Pink's "U+Ur Hand" and boldly sing about an anti-patriarchy song to the almighty Fuhrer himself lol. Props also to Barbara Sukowa (Jones) and Thure Rifenstein (Sturbannfuhrer Friedrich Waesch), two native German speakers who help deliver the tension together.
This episode has a whole lot to unpack! Looks like the gang is heading off to another time and place to get the weapon! The scene where they come together and Jones gives the monologue is touching, feels like the team has gotten together for the last time. The calm before the storm...
Some people back during the original airing of the episode were a bit polarized with Cassie's dominatrix outfit, which was a subtle reference to a 1975 Canadian sex exploitation film "Ilsa, Shewolf of the SS". I see this episode as bit of a gratuitous fan service which was well deserved, given how serious and bleak this season has been for the gang.
There was actually a probable chance that Himmler could've arisen to power as he was actually mainly attributed in coming up the idea for concentration camps which drove the SS reputation to infamy... and Hitler was the one who authorized it. Moreover, Hitler was also an inept general to lead the SS as he was more suited to be the figurehead to the German public back then.
Also in the wide shot of Titan, the background is a snowy mountain range. This is presumably the Himalayas - so we have reached the location where the origin of the Annapurna remains/virus (back in S1) will come to be... https://i.imgur.com/4GkOuwH.jpg
