Why the mask? If you're promising death best to look the part. Holy FORKING Shirtballs I love this episode. A show about time travel where the creators take a penultimate episode and make time stand still. And It's beautiful. Athan can't see her (Eliza's) path because his time travel vest is broken. For anyone else he could normally just jump ahead and learn their fate, but the busted vest prevents him from seeing hers which is completely foreign to him. His primary visions don't work for that sort of thing. Once the vest is fixed, he changes it, but nothing he does can alter it. Some people just can't be saved. :*( James Callis makes this fantastic show infinitely better but the stand out of this episode for me is Claire Cooper. She is enchanting as Eliza and takes none of Baltar's shit. Such a bold choice to toss all of your main cast aside and have two unknown characters take the lead in your story, and then pay it off. "If I ever had anything like that, even for a minute. I'd give up a lifetime of anything else." Cole to Athan. It's also what Cole asks Jones in Lullaby (s2e8). "I have laid jasmine and lavender on your coffin" > Let's go back to season one when GreyWolf was curious about the flowers the old guy left around dead bodies. The ritual he got from his mum who got it from the Witness. :)
