Widely regarded as one of the best X-Files standalone episodes. And yes there's quite a bit of humor in this one as well. Here's something interesting for you though: the episode you and I both dislike - "Humbug" (the circus episode)" - was written by the same guy who wrote this one. But a huge difference between the two, isn't it? I think this is a very good episode, unlike Humbug.
