I wouldn't say you we're on the opposite side of other people when it comes to Chuck, but maybe a little hard. People do really dislike him, he's a bad brother. A brilliant lawyer but a bad brother. It's not black and white, but shades of grey. Pardon the pun. The first time I watched Breaking Bad I hated Skyler, a lot of people did and then there was all this misogyny accusation about it. But I know for me it wasn't that. She reminded me of a member of my own family who I held major resentment towards and I projected that on to Skyler. I was in therapy and worked through some things and let go of that resentment. But it wasn't until I watched Breaking Bad again some time later and felt differently about the character that I realized all of this in reflection. The thing about these heavily character driven shows is the amount of greyscale there is and that's why I enjoy experiencing reactions to them because everyone has their own life experience which shapes their interpretation. In a way it helps us all develop better understandings of ourselves and each other. At least I hope so.

However most people have also had a sliver of sympathy for him too in situations like when his mother calling out for his brother as her last words. He's clearly felt a lack of any affection from people that Jimmy gets so easily and it's turned him bitter, and he's spent a year plus of his life completely isolating himself from the world due to mental illness, not only that but he does have a point about Jimmy even if we find it awful that he doesn't show support or appreciation to him, and that we empathise with jimmy as the main character. So yeah I dislike him for many reasons, but at same time have felt myself encouraged to defend him a little from your utter hatred and lack of sympathy lol :D
