As a book reader of The Expanse series one is introduced to the belter language in greater depth. I think a few words may be helpful to understand what is going on or what they are saying. Sasa = to know, or ask, beratna = brother or fellow belter, setara = sister or female belter, beltalowda = belters, inyalowda = Inners (ie Earthers and Martians), milowda = me or myself. Someone already mentioned that Remember the Cant is about the Canterbury.

2020-08-01 20:05:52 +0000 UTCI like Shed, he's sort of the comic relief. The show could definitely use some comedy at times. Love his lines like, "joining up i[with the Martians] is an option?". "I told them everything, even made some stuff up at the end". And Amos saying that the Martians told him that Shed faked his medical records and joined the Cant because he was being chased by a drug dealer. "Well that part's true.", lol.

2020-07-22 23:51:52 +0000 UTCI love that they use the Belter dialect, it makes it more realistic for me. You'll hear Sasa quite often - means to know, or Sasa ke? - You know? Kopeng means Friend. It gets easier after a while. Also, I think you nailed every language mix that Jared Harris used to come up with his accent. "you'll do anything to win, just like your father, that's what got him killed"..now- that's real. remember the cant-erbury- ship that got blown up
