I loved this scene because I really tried to reflect that "gay daddy issues" trope, but in a demonic way. Like demons are an entirely different species than humans and have their own culture, customs, etc. but the gay fear of being rejected by your family (especially the father figure) still perseveres through it all. Moreover, I wanted to illustrate that emotion from a different perspective than a flat-out "I'm coming out to my dad and fuck him because he doesn't accept me." All about familial manipulation and that absence of understanding ;)
