Couple quick notes.
I'm still rendering and writing and adding things. Very soon I need to stop and get to coding.
The update's probably going to be around 400ish renders.
I currently lack the coding skills to do the dressing room peeking minigame that I wanted to do.
Because of that, and because of some additions I'd like to do, I'm thinking of releasing ep6 as a stand-alone. That way you wouldn't have to start over when it's combined into its final form. You'd have to start ep6 over, but that's it.
Tier 4's and up - I'll add your names to the credits in the stand-alone version. If you'd like, send me a message with a name of your choosing. Otherwise, I'll use your Patreon name - except - if it looks like a real name then I'll abbreviate it or use initials so it doesn't look like a real name. If you are a Patron that can put a special message in the credits, please send me a DM and let me know what you'd like.

I guess I lied last week and I am doing a Friday Update! I just wanted to let you guys know what's going on before the release.
As I said last week, I am going to use every minute I have and I'm probably going to release this thing at 11:59pm on Sunday, the 30th. I believe I will have everything in a "story-complete" state - that is, all the renders needed to tell the story - on Sunday morning. Once that is finished I'll run the renders through post-processing and code the update. Lots of work left to do.
If I manage to get done early I'll add more renders. There are a couple little side-jokes/conversations that aren't going to make the cut unless time is somehow on my side.
Once the update is out I'll be working on any fixes that are needed, as well as working on the coding and/or UI upgrade. I might add those little side-jokes and conversations as well.
You can look forward to an interesting update! As I've mentioned before, there are more choices in this update than usual. In fact, you will have your choice of 4 endings in the update which will determine where you sleep!

I am furiously working on finishing up the update, knee-deep in renders and editing everything into a cohesive episode.
I just wanted to drop a quick note to let you guys know that you likely won't see a Friday update next week. The next updates you'll see will be directly related to the release and exactly when to expect it.
It's highly probable that I will take all the time I can before release to make sure it's in an enjoyable state, so it's looking like I will release Episode 6 on Sunday the 30th.
To those of you who are not current Patrons: I cannot release the game to you on Patreon because all NSFW content must be behind a paywall per Patreon's rules. Make sure you follow me on Twitter.

On Wednesday, October 19, I will be enabling scheduled billing.
What this means
Currently, Patreon bills you every month on the first of the month, regardless of when you began your donations. If you donate on the last day of the month, you will get charged again on the first of the month.
With Scheduled Billing, Patreon will instead charge you on the day that you donate. If you donate on the 20th of the month, you will be charged on the 20th of every month.
This change does not affect current Patrons. You will still be charged on the first of every month. If you want to change the day on which you are charged, you will have to cancel and then re-subscribe on that day. Keep in mind for Legacy Tier 1's who pay $1 every month that if you cancel the minimum donation to return will be $2 every month.

Hello, Patrons and public alike!
I am making this post public in order to talk to you all about the poll results that you see above. These are the results for the poll asking if you'd like to see Subscription Billing turned on (so it bills you on the date you first subscribed every month) or keep it as is.
I ran two polls; one for the patrons and one for non-patrons. A couple patrons voted in the non-patron poll and I wanted to make fun of them here but you can see that I accidentally voted in the patron poll.
Anyways, the results! My assessment is that the patrons don't really care either way, which makes sense considering this change doesn't actually affect them.
Non-Patrons (people who will hopefully one day become patrons) are generally for implementing the change, though it's not a runaway. Looks like it's not a huge deal to any of you guys, in general.
My thinking, therefore, is that I will likely go ahead and move to Subscription Billing. I think it's likely more fair for you guys and if you are a current patron it allows you the flexibility of cancelling your subscription and re-subscribing in order to move your payment date, if that is your wish.
However, because this is a permanent change and there's no going back, I probably won't make the move for another couple weeks. I know some developers have already made the change and I'm going to let them be the guinea pigs. I can't imagine what kind of problems would possibly come up, but lord knows that payment processing, especially for items of an adult nature such as Unleashed, is a sketchy business. So I'm going to give it a couple weeks to be safe and if I hear of any problems I might keep things the way they are until the problems are ironed out.
Phew.
Oh yeah I've also been working on Unleashed this week! Things are coming along a little slower than I'd like but they're still coming along and I promised it would come out in October and nothing's gonna keep me from doing that.
I'm very happy with how this update is turning out and I'm really looking forward to confusing you guys with the surprises I have in store for you! :)

If you are already a Patron of mine you should not vote in this poll. Instead you should vote in the next poll, which is for Patrons only.
Yesterday, Patreon sent out an email to all creators informing us of the implementation of Subscription Billing. What this does is when you subscribe to a creator, you will get charged immediately. Then you are charged every month on the same date that you originally subscribed.
Currently, I have up-front charging enabled. So you are charged immediately upon subscribing to me. And then, once you are subscribed, no matter when you are subscribed, you are charged on the first of the month. So if you subscribe on September 30, you will get charged on the 30th and the next day on the first.
There are advantages and disadvantages to each system. Some of the people I've spoken to have said they'd rather be charged on the date of their subscription so that they're not hit with all of their Patreon charges at the first of the month.
Some have said they prefer to be charged at the first of the month so that they always know when they're going to be charged.
So I'm reaching out to you guys and my Patrons separately. This does not affect current Patrons. Current Patrons will still be charged at the first of every month. It only affects new Patrons if I implement the change.
Also, this change is permanent. There is no going back if I don't like it. So my plan is to ask you guys what you think about it in this poll. I have a separate poll that only current Patrons can vote on. But I want to hear your thoughts! Feel free to leave a comment with more detailed thoughts down below.
If I do implement this change it will probably not be for a couple weeks, after I've considered everybody's opinions and after I've seen it in practice for other developers. So it would affect the November billing cycle.

Hello, Patrons!
Meet Brick. That's actually not his name. I don't have the name for him yet, and might not have it until I start coding, where I'll be forced to finally come up with one. For now he's Brick, because that's the guy from Anchorman.
Brick is a local newscaster; a no-frills, give-it-to-em-straight kinda guy who tells it like it is. But he also runs a show at night. Remember Live PD? You may not have heard of it if you're not American. You may have heard of Cops, where a camera follows cops as they do their jobs, usually arresting drunk people who get in fights at home. Live PD was just like that except it was live all around the country.
Brick here hosts a show like that, called Local PD. Him and his co-hosts comment while cameras follow the local police as they deal with disturbances around town.
At least one of the girls in the house loves that show, and you'll get an opportunity to watch it at night when you get home from a difficult day of shopping.
You might also see some of Local PD later on in future updates, but that's all I'm saying for now!

Progress on Episode 6 honestly sucked this week. I had my nephew come and stay with me this whole week and it's pretty difficult working on sexy renders in such a situation, as you can imagine. I hope to pick up the slack this coming week and finally get you guys some solid news on a release date.

A week or so ago I finally went ahead and set up Google Analytics on my Patreon. This gives me some basic numbers for how many people are showing up here, what times, and from where.
In the interest of transparency, I figured I'd share the info! I'm a little surprised Brazil is in second place. These numbers are only for the past week, mind you. They'll probably change significantly when I make more public posts like this one.
But it's interesting to see and I thought I'd share. It feels weird sharing a pic that doesn't have stockings in it. ;)

Hello, Patrons!
Hope you all had wonderful weeks. Personally I got a lot of little things done with the coming update that all needed to be done.
Check this render. One of the issues I've had with the change to Genesis 8 characters - it also happens sometimes on the previous generation too, it mostly depended on the item - is that the tops form this impossible vacuum seal around the bewbs.
You can see it in action on the girl from the train on the left.
This week I finally learned how to fix that in Blender, thanks to wibble, who you should all know as my Discord administrator and good friend whose help has been invaluable throughout development. He's the one who ported the characters over to Genesis 8.
So now I'll be able to go through some clothes and fix them so they don't look quite as ridiculous.
Another thing here, again with the immense help of wibble, is Maeve's hair color. You've seen her in this hair before on one-off renders, but the color never matched her in-game color. That is now changed and I'll be able to use this hair in the game.
This is one of those dforce hairs, like Angel's, where you can run it through a simulation and it'll calculate the physics. So it should constantly change and look more natural.
If you like Maeve's other hair better, don't worry. You'll still see that most of the time. But girls, they like to change things up, you know? :)
Progress on the update is moving along. I do have some renders to fix which will cost me a bit of time, but I'm really happy with how things are coming together. I still don't have a solid date of release for you, but I'll let you all know as soon as I figure it out.

In the previous episode, Angel had quite an evening. Unsurprisingly, she wakes up a little late in the morning of episode 6.
I believe this is the first time you will all have seen her where she doesn't really have makeup on (a little lip gloss, because in the world of Unleashed, women's lips are naturally shiny).
Of course she will go through a few outfit changes after this!

Shirleen gets a bad rap. Sure, she's a pretty bad mother. Sure, she's not the classiest lady in the world. And yes, she might actually be part of a cult. But damn it, she's an attractive woman. And in the Adult Visual Novel world, that's really all you need!
This is the Genesis 8 version of Shirleen. She's slightly de-aged, and the biggest change is obviously her hair. She'll have somewhat different hair most of the time, but this is what you'll see when she lets her hair down... you know, for those intense bible study sessions.

Hello, Patrons!
I'm not big into anime, but I'll watch it from time to time. There was one that premiered this season where this hot demon girl becomes the familiar to this dude in high school. She's naked, but then she puts on a sweater like Maeve is wearing. It's called a "virgin killer" sweater. Anyways, that's the motivation behind this render! :)
Things are progressing on the update, and I'm realizing that because of all the choices in the episode, things are a little complicated. It's necessary to make sure each choice is covered to its ending point, and going back through my script I realized I didn't quite do that perfectly. So I had to add a few new renders, no big deal.
But I bet I'm going to have to do a lot more of that, heh.
I have my PC on the floor - which, I know, is terrible - and it's on the right. So when I render, the GPU starts blowing the hot air onto my right foot. This week my right foot suffered some pretty good burns from the rendering. ;)
Within the next couple of weeks I should be giving you guys a pretty solid estimate for the release date. I would *like* to redo the UI to go with the update, but generally when I finally finish an update I kind of want to get it pushed out and deal with any other stuff later. So that's what I might do. I think I said that last update, too.

Oh man has it been a busy week doing real life stuff. So this is going to be a really short update. I wasn't able to be as productive on ep 6 as I wanted, but I did manage to make some decent progress.
My busy period should be over tomorrow, so I promise you guys I will get you some previews after that. I apologize for the delay on those renders -- honestly I'm not a big fan of posting preview renders because:
1. things change, especially with my work
2. they haven't been through post processing
3. I want to tell a story with most of my renders, and so each one is a bit of a spoiler
But I'm sure I'll find a couple that'll be worth posting and I'll get those to you guys as soon as possible.
We're entering Crunch Month! I believe we're still on track for release this month, so hopefully you'll get to see the aftermath of The Great Bewb Reveal soon!

Hope you all had a wonderful week, and I hope you are all staying cool in this hot, hot heat.
Welp, it finally happened! I am redoing a scene. Only partially. But every update it seems I come up with a better idea for a scene and then I redo it. I don't think this will delay things much. The rendering shouldn't be affected much at all. What this will affect is the coding, as this will have me do some new coding stuff that I'm not entirely familiar with. And, as you all know, I'm not exactly the best at coding!
But it's really not that complicated and I've already watched videos on how to do what I want, and it's just a matter of executing it. So we're still looking at an August release date.
I should have a preview up for the Tier 2's and higher tomorrow. I think I'm also gonna come up with some wallpapers. Let me know if there are any unusual sizes that y'all want. Otherwise I'll go with the typical 4k image.

A little late with the update, but not too bad I think!
Hello, Patrons! Hope you all had a wonderful week full of summer fun. Personally I'm enjoying all the local fruit that is now in season, like strawberries, cherries, and apricots. I'm in a big fruit growing region and that's one of the big benefits.
Onto the update!
This is the first look at Shannon's "base" outfit for episode 6. Keep in mind that each girl will have multiple outfits within the episode. I've struggled to figure out what to preview here because I want each outfit to be a surprise. But you're all pretty used to Shannon in her usual t-shirt and shorts by now. You'll notice the t-shirts getting shorter as time goes on.
The fashion is honestly a big reason I'm a developer. It's kinda like The Sims - dressing the characters is fun. And it's a big part of the character. I've spoken of this before, but early on in development, when I was creating the characters, I developed a palette for each. You won't see them in these colors all the time, but they are their "go-to" colors.
Shannon - green, purple (because green matches well with the red hair, and purple matches well with green). Shannon's into more cartoon-y style like this t-shirt, as well as ironic internet meme fashion.
Maeve - pink, as you can tell by her room. The pink kinda denotes her femininity as the barbie doll.
Angel - black, obviously, but with bold colors as well. Angel is a bit of a hypocrite. She doesn't care what you think of her, but a part of her really wants people to like her look.
Olivia - Brown, beige, earth tones. This is mostly done to convey age, since Olivia looks to be in her 20s if you hadn't noticed. ;)
Crunch mode on the update is going crunchingly. I can tell you it for sure won't be out in July. There's a lot of work left to do. But I am happy with the progress and I'm really looking forward to your guys' reaction to this update. Within another couple weeks I should be able to give you a better estimate. Right now I'm thinking middle-August, so about 1 month away.
As always, that could change. It shouldn't change significantly this time, though! Cross your fingers.
