Adding depth using shadows (Rendering Webtoon Page)

Disclaimer: My process for rendering realistic illustrations and rendering webtoon pages are different. This one is obviously simpler and less accurate. I'll make different tutorial for rendering illustrations.

This is my first try on step by step tutorial so this isn't perfect, I promise to improve on the next ones. Sorry for the grammar lapses.
I'll make separate posts for each process.

NOTE: YOU CAN USE ANY COLOR FOR SHADOW DURING THE PROCESS. You will change it on the last step.

Thank you Jennifer!

The thing I really like about your work is your "confidence of line", meaning that your lines look very smooth and natural, while being clean and pleasing. It's easy to draw on a computer with a tablet and stylus, but harder to get line art that looks almost like finished art on its own. This is perhaps something I need to work on more since I've been kind of in a creative slump since Covid started. I'm only now starting to feel like taking up some new ideas and seeing where they go. This may just be the kick I need to start my engines! Thanks so much for posting tutorials!!

You're an amazing artist. Even your black and white outlines show the details and personalities of the characters. That all of this can be done on a digital platform is even more amazing.
