Interesting flashback. Who were those people?

Okay, one thing, not all guys are the same, and I try to make it obvious that Shuhei thinks and acts differently to the point no one can tell what's really on his mind. Second, he's not a vampire lol. Third, I highly suggest that you don't take their talk about their attraction seriously because Eun gee said it as a joke to lighten the mood first before she opens up her real concern and Shuhei, like since episode 4, always messes up with her and joke around lol he is even laughing here in this episode. This story isn't going be just about good girl fixing bad boys and since this is an apocalyptic story, most scenes even the characters aren't going to be comparable to reality.

And back to him, would he also be that ready for her to know he's more than simply protective of her? Guys are pretty close-mouthed about their feelings, even to themselves, so if he felt attracted to her, he might question whether or not it was purely physical at the beginning. Or perhaps is he feeling something more? And if he is, is it based on the vague memories, or is it based on a bit of appreciation for her gun skills? He seems to come from an angle of confidence and he acts like he's used his partial-vampire state as a leverage card more than once. Admitting he's attracted to her emotionally would open him up to her getting closer, so is he ready to show his vulnerabilities to her this early on? Hmmmm. My problem is I really love conflicted leads who have to struggle (sometimes against their own best interests) to sort out good vs evil, or sacrifice over self-preservation. Vampires are all about that sort of struggle, aren't they? Yes they are. As females, we grow up unrealistically believing that somehow, we can "fix" the bad boys, without accepting that what we like about them may be tied into the very traits we love in them, and to redeem him might mean losing him altogether. (I've been writing a novel, can't you tell? No really, I've got about 4 years of work put into it so far.)

As one person noted, it does seem a bit soon for the two main characters to be talking about their attractions to each other so readily. I would've thought Eun Gee would wrestle a lot with the wisdom of getting entangled with someone whose history is largely unknown, and who agreed to go with her IF she were willing to give herself to him. She doesn't have a confidant that she can bounce her thoughts off of regarding an attraction to him, so is she that ready to let him know how she feels so suddenly?

I just read through this latest chapter, and I have the following thoughts: The expression on Eun Gee's face when he takes the sword out of her hands is a bit strange. Startled on the one hand, and...almost a smile? Not sure. It's not clear to me how she feels at the moment of his preemptive take-back of the weapon. It just caught my attention. And then, on page 4, the boot that is supposed to be in the foreground, but Shuhei is (obviously a layer) overlapping it as though it's behind him. Other than those two bits, the art is superlative as expected, and I enjoy each new installment and Patreon goodie with eager hunger.
