Did your new editor used to work for the EPA? Because my job involves making labels for my company's products, and any EPA registered products have to go through their stringent label approval process and they nitpick like you describe. I've had them demand things like a missing comma, letter spacing and alignment. Maybe she could go work for them! I bet they'd love her! But if decide to leave Tapas over this, I will follow you anywhere you go! ❤

I followed you here to support you- no matter where you end up! Try not to stress too much. Your work is wonderful and I'm loving the revamp!

It's hard as an editor sometimes to know where to stop with revisions. I had a boss like that, and the worst was when she gave me edits that weren't even correct! It's not fair to you for her to nitpick a bunch of small, unimportant things TWO DAYS before your relaunch! Maybe you can request for future that she prioritize the edits as "must fix" versus "if there's time," so you can focus on only the most urgent changes for now and try to fix the others in future episodes. Having seen your original work, I can't imagine there should be that much to fix! Try not to let it ruin your day! Like someone else said, at least it shows they are trying to make it the best it can be, even if the assistant is going overboard with it. 🤗

Ah that sucks! Especially when they are doing it to your art and you know how it should be. That would be fustrating having someone hovering over your work. You have a lot of talent for art and story and layout . If you chose not continue I know I'll continue to support you on patreon! :)

Just stick with it for a bit. Maybe she came out the door swinging trying to validate herself. Maybe she'll calm down. If she continues to be a pain in the ass then yes definitely pursue a change. I'd tell Tapas you need a new assistant editor if she continues her nonsense. Don't give up! You have such talent!

Ask tapas to replace her with someone else , if you don’t feel comfortable! They can do that! Don’t leave one person ruin your hard work💗
