Far From Home 001 -- Prologue
Added 2025-03-30 03:09:45 +0000 UTCThis story is the result of the $10 Tier Poll and the winning option, Option 1.
Option 1: White Fang members loyal to Sienna Khan within Adam's group kidnap Blake in an effort to use her as leverage against her parents, and a certain blond doofus gets caught up in the whole mess. Instead of being depressed, Jaune decides to make the best of a bad situation. Jaune/Blake Jaune/White Fang Faunus Girls
This story won't be updated every week, it'll be much more like Pressure Points where it gets updated sporadically. It is unique to the $10 Tier and will remain there until the story is complete. The story is mostly told from Blake and Jaune's POV's, with some of the other faunus girls sprinkled in. It's mostly crack, though from Blake's POV specifically, it'll be serious while from Jaune's, it will be completely outlandish.
Have fun. :)

Blake groaned as the surface below her jolted, a sharp pain pounding through her head. Something cold and hard was pressed to her cheek, and her throat was parched. When she went to reach for her head, something jostled before her arms locked up, unable to move any further. There was a brief moment of confusion before sudden clarity hit her like a sword stroke, and her eyes snapped open in alarm.
The familiar rattling sound of tracks beneath a train echoed through the dark compartment, swaying side to side. Blake winced as her head throbbed, as if a knife were digging into her brain. Several seconds went by before her eyes adjusted, observing her surroundings. There was very little light but that didn’t matter; being faunus, she could make things out clearly.
She was in a train car, some sort of cargo hold stacked high with boxes and containers. Sprawled within a cage with thick bars, her hands were bound by steel cuffs and chained to the floor. There was enough slack for her to sit up but not enough for her to stand, the chain rasping across the floor as she straightened up into a sitting position.
Where was she? What had happened?
Her memories came slowly, trickling from the depths of her mind. Blake had been in Vale, the final weekend before the Vytal Festival was to begin. She’d been hoping to pick up some new books she’d ordered in before the city swelled with tourists. Vale was busy at the best of times but with such an important, well loved event about to take place, it was going to get chaotic.
She remembered visiting the store, she remembered getting her books. The clerk had tried to flirt with her. He was young, still in high school. Blake had thought it cute and decided to play along. It was after leaving that things become difficult to remember.
She remembered traffic lights, and a dark alleyway – a shortcut! One she often took, skipping the crowds and venturing between buildings. Then… nothing.
No, not nothing.
Pain.
Something had struck her from behind, hard and fast. So fast that she hadn’t had time to react. She hadn’t had time to activate her aura and tank the blow, and so she’d been knocked unconscious immediately.
Someone had attacked her.
But who?
Blake felt a bolt of fear rush through her, dread pooling in her stomach. Whoever it was, they were skilled enough to sneak up on a Huntress-in-training and take her out. Not only that, but they managed to move her to another location without being caught.
She was in serious trouble.
Blake focused on her aura and the pain behind her eyes soothed, though it didn’t abate completely. Strengthening her body, she pulled the chain taut and tried to stand. The cuffs tried to cut into her skin but her aura protected her, but even with her enhanced strength, the chain wouldn’t give. Gritting her teeth, she pushed off with her legs with everything she had but it wasn’t enough.
“Fuck,” she swore.
Something moved in the dark, rustling against the floor and Blake tensed, put on edge. She listened carefully but whatever it was didn’t move again, the sound of the tracks the only thing she could hear.
She felt her pockets for her scroll but it was missing, as was her weapon. They weren’t stupid enough to leave them with her.
She wasn’t entirely out of options. A few feet away, she spotted a toolbox. It was far out of reach – but not for her clones. Blake channeled her aura and activated her semblance, a perfect copy appearing outside of the cage. Her clones were physical and capable of simple tasks. Nothing too complex, but picking up a toolbox was something they could complete.
Blake watched as the clone trotted over to pick up the toolbox before she heard laughter moments before her clone was stabbed in the back, a throwing knife buried to the hilt.
“Stop,” a serious voice said, Blake freezing. “I wouldn’t do that if I were you.”
As the clone dispersed, the knife clattered to the ground. From behind one of the containers, a young woman appeared, her movements silky, dangerous. Dressed in a tight leather bodysuit, it hugged her lithe body like a second skin, shielding all but her arms and face. Her skin was pale and covered in thin, pronounced veins. They swept down her arms like the twisting branches of a tree.
On her hip hung a familiar mask; that of the White Fang.
Blake felt fear almost overwhelm her. Adam had found her at last.
“That’s a nice look,” the mystery woman commented, peering at her with interested eyes. “Are you not happy to see a comrade?”
Blake said nothing.
“No, I don’t suppose you would be. You’ve been a bad girl, Blake Belladonna.”
Blake didn’t recognize her but that was hardly surprising. She didn’t know every member of the White Fang, there were far too many to count – but Blake thought she knew all of those that worked beneath Adam.
She was a new face.
The woman had to have been around her age, maybe even a touch younger. Blake watched as she picked up her knife, giving it a little twirl before she sheathed it on her belt.
“Things will go badly if you try to escape,” she said calmly. “You don’t want that, do you?”
Blake grit her teeth.
“So be good, and no one will have to get hurt.”
“If you think threatening me with pain will work,” Blake growled out. “Then think again.”
The woman frowned. “I’m not threatening you. We’ve got orders to leave you unharmed. Your little friend, on the other hand…”
Friend?
“What?”
No… did they have someone else? But who? She’d been alone.
“He caused quite the little scene,” the woman shook her head. “Almost blew the entire operation. If he’d been a better fighter, things may have gone a little differently. Even with his mediocre ability, his aura capacity made taking him down… difficult… and drawn out. We had to be rough with him.”
No – she couldn’t mean…
“How…?” Blake croaked. “If you’ve hurt him…!”
“You’ll what?” she asked, unconcerned. “We’re in control here, not you. Remember that.”
Blake pulled at her chains fruitlessly, filled with equal parts anger and fear. Not for herself, but for…
“Please,” she begged. “You want me. You don’t need him. Let him go, let Jaune go and I’ll go quietly.”
Mediocre fighter, and lots of aura – enough to cause problems on its own? It could only be him.
The woman wasn’t moved in the slightest. “You’ll come quietly regardless. He’ll remain unharmed, all you need to do is listen. Can you do that?”
She didn’t have a choice.
“Yes,” she hissed. “I’ll listen.”
“Good. Because you know what will happen if you don’t.”
Blake stewed in her rage, scared for her friend. While they weren’t particularly close, Jaune had shown himself to be a good friend. He knew her secret and had stood by her, unconcerned. Blake being a faunus hadn’t mattered to him, and her affiliation with the White Fang was also unimportant. Though would he feel the same way about things now?
He’d tried to protect her… and this was his payment. Blake felt her eyes sting as tears gathered but she refused to let them fall. Now wasn’t the time for getting emotional. So long as she obeyed whatever they asked for her, Jaune would be left alone. Not safe – with the White Fang, he would never be safe – but so long as she played along, and he also kept his head down and listened, they wouldn’t harm him.
Though how long would that last?
Once Adam had his hands on her, what then? He would have no use for Jaune. He was only valuable for keeping her compliant. Once Blake was in his grasp, she wouldn’t be able to escape. When she was secure, then Jaune’s usefulness ran out.
But what could she do?
She wasn’t Nora or Yang. They may have been able to tear through these chains with brute strength alone. She wasn’t Pyrrha, whose semblance could make short work of them. Her polarity could easily bend and shatter these chains, though Pyrrha would never have been caught in the first place.
She didn’t have any options.
Hours passed with only the sound of the train tracks to keep her company. It quickly became apparent that wherever they were taking her, it was far from Vale. Much further than she thought they’d be. It felt like she was walking to the gallows, with nothing but her mind to fill in all the horrible things that were awaiting her.
Eventually, they brought her some food. It wasn’t much. Two granola bars and a bottle of water. She was hungry but it was her thirst that took precedence, Blake guzzling it desperately. Once her parched throat was soothed, her thirst quenched, she started on granola bars. Not the most appetizing meal but it was better than nothing.
She wouldn’t be served tuna any time soon.
Blake tried to ask questions of the person who brought her the food, a young woman with shoulder length orange hair and small antler growing atop her head. A deer faunus.
Another new face, yet Blake felt like she knew her from somewhere. Where that was, she didn’t know.
“How long is this trip supposed to last?”
She was ignored.
“Where are we going?”
Ignored.
It had been the afternoon when she’d been attacked, so it had to be in the evening now – maybe even night. It just depended on how long she’d been out cold. Another problem soon presented itself.
She needed to pee.
Blake tried to hold it but the swaying off the train was not helping. She must have lasted an hour before it became too much, and she began calling for attention.
“I need to go to the bathroom,” she shouted. When only silence greeted her, she became desperate. “Please, I need the bathroom. Now!”
She grimaced as the pressure grew in her bladder. Were they really going to humiliate her like this?
Did she even need to wonder? Adam would like nothing more. He’d always been a vindictive person against those that wronged him, and after the way she’d left him, she was definitely in that camp.
Blake grit her teeth.
“Come on!” she shouted louder. “Do you really want me to make a mess?”
“No,” a voice said, and a familiar face appeared. It was the first girl, the one with the black veins. “We don’t.”
She unlocked the cage door, and Blake shifted her weight. The girl glared at her.
“If you try anything, you know what happens.”
It was a statement.
Blake nodded.
Her shackles were opened, and they clattered to the floor. Blake rubbed her wrists gingerly before standing up, her legs and butt numb from sitting for so long. She wanted nothing more than to strike the other woman but she had no idea where Jaune was on the train.
If she failed, and they hurt him…
She would never forgive herself.
Pyrrha, Ruby, Ren, Nora – they would never forgive her.
Hell, even Yang wouldn’t.
Weiss… well, it was hard to say.
What was she even thinking… of course Weiss wouldn’t forgive her, either. As rocky as their relationship was, they were friends. She’d be devastated if something happened to him, and if it was because of Blake…
The sharp point of a knife pricked her back. “Start walking.”
She was led through another cargo hold and then into a passenger car. It was completely empty, and at the end was a small bathroom. It had a toilet and a sink, and a mirror. The window was bolted shut and even Blake would have trouble slipping through it, it was so small.
“Don’t take forever,” the White Fang girl said, slamming the door behind her.
Blake relieved herself, feeling instantly better. Washing her hands, she opened the door.
“I’m done.”
“Good, because we’re almost there.”
There was a small coastal town, Blake spotting the lights in the distance as they approached. Night had indeed fallen, and as the train pulled into the station, she was forced to the back of the train.
“You scream, and your friend dies,” was the simple threat but it was enough.
She wouldn’t make a sound.
Several more White Fang members joined them before the girl with the veins opened the emergency door, and they all piled out. Blake looked around wildly, trying to memorize a landmark, a sigh, anything, but she was shoved forward and forced to move.
It wasn’t until they’d taken her to a warehouse that she realized that perhaps she’d been played.
“Where’s Jaune?” she demanded, suddenly tense.
Had they lied about having him? Thinking back, she realized that she was the one that had jumped to conclusions. They’d never mentioned his name, Blake had been the one to fill in the blanks from her description.
But those hopes were dashed when she saw someone being marched in, their hands bound behind their back. Their head was covered with a black bag, shielding his face from view, and while the build and height were the same, his clothes were nicer than the ones he wore for combat.
She almost called out before the bag was pulled from his head, revealing his face. Blake felt her stomach flip as Jaune’s familiar face appeared, his mouth gagged with a piece of cloth. She saw the fear in his eyes, though he wasn’t panicking, trying to escape. He remained still as they removed the gag, grimacing as he wet his lips with his tongue.
“Jaune,” she said softly.
He smiled awkwardly. “Ah – hey, Blake,” his voice was steady. “I’m sorry.”
“What are you apologizing for, you idiot,” she scolded, wanting to cry.
“I tried to stop them but…” he grimaced. “Now they have both of us.”
“Quiet,” the vein girl said. “If you keep talking, we’ll gag you again.”
Jaune nodded, pursing his lips.
Blake wanted to claw that bitch's eyes out.
They were kept in that warehouse for most of the night, and kept apart so they couldn’t talk. Blake was just relieved that he appeared unharmed.
She tried to stay awake but at some point, her eyelids became too heavy to fight against and she fell asleep. Awkwardly leaning against an old dusty crate, she dozed until someone kicked her foot roughly, jolting her back into the world.
“Get up,” it was the vein girl. “We’re moving.”
Jaune was already standing, and Blake hurried up to her feet. They left through another door, out the back and around the side of another warehouse before Blake spotted where they were going.
An airship.
It was an older model but heavily modified. Designed to avoid detection and move quickly but silently, it was capable of carrying up to twenty people comfortably. Jaune was marched up the ramp first.
This wasn’t good.
An airship like this was capable of making the trip as far as Mistral.
Just where were they taking them?
Jaune was secured to one of the seats, and then Blake was seated across from him. Blake squirmed against the constraints and released there was no escaping them without alerting everyone to what she was doing.
He tried to give her a reassuring look but she was beginning to panic. She’d thought for sure that they were taking her to Adam but now, she wasn’t so sure.
If it wasn’t Adam, then it could only be one other person.
Blake wasn’t sure if this was a good thing or not. Sienna Khan was the current undisputed leader of the White Fang. The entire reason they’d become more radical in their operations was entirely down to her. She did not like humans.
At all.
But was she worse than Adam? Adam not only disliked humans, he despised them. Not only that, but Blake’s betrayal would have been taken extremely personally with him. Blake could see him doing something reckless, just to get back at her.
Either way, both options didn’t bode well.
All she could do was sit here and await their fate.
It was the longest airship ride of her life.
