The Geforce Now Leak Gets Interesting - Release Dates
A user on Github compiled a list of all games from the GeForce Now leak in September that had release dates attached and released it online - with some time passing since the leak, it has been correct about some things but wrong about others. Okami Games on Twitter has highlighted the most important stuff here: https://twitter.com/Okami13_/status/1455977734585425922
- Apparently, Playstation has a whole host of PC ports intended for next year, including Ghost of Tsushima, Avowed and Gears 6 are aiming for the end of 2022 and Final Fantasy 7 Remake is hitting PC in June. Take with a huge pinch of salt, but there's definitely room to speculate on developer and publisher priorities using this as a tool. Oh, and Hollow Knight: Silksong was apparently aiming for February.
Elden Ring Gameplay Revealed
Bandai Namco and FromSoftware released almost 20 minutes of Elden Ring gameplay and set the collector's edition up for preorder. The footage shows a variety of gameplay contexts, provides some insight into the setting & the character of Melina, the Elden Ring equivalent to a Fire Keeper.
- OOOOOOHHHHHHHHHH It looks exactly like a new Dark Souls, but with great open-world elements and a much-improved magic system. From Software stick to what they know, but they improve every time. This is going to be a big one.
The Best Game Of 2021 So Far Revealed.... It's Forza!
Forza Horizon 5 has a rating of 92 on OpenCritic, making it the best game of 2021 by a whole 3 points. It's tied as the top 16th game by score on OpenCritic, sharing the spot with Uncharted 4, the Resident Evil 2 remake, Dragon Quest 11, Smash Ultimate, Nier Automata, and... Forza Horizon 4.
- Review scores often only tell some of the story about whether a game is for you, but a close approximation of it's objective quality. And Playground Games make an exceptional racing game. Hopefully, that skill will translate to Fable!
