Brunhilda, Tribeswoman of Feloria

Brunhilda is a specially introduced character, one who serves several minor but important roles in Chapter 3. For one thing, the human cast of Cryopod so far has been relatively boring, with demons, angels, and Titans occupying the vast majority of the runtime and exerting the most influence on the plot.

This changes with the introduction of several key characters, including General Chadwick, Ganeral Caddis, Corporal Hurent, Lieutenant Samuel, and Brunhilda, the character at the center of this post.

Brunhilda is the leader of Feloria's human civilization. Much like the other worlds Neil and Hope have liberated, Feloria is a primitive society, one with fierce, tribalistic warriors, but little knowledge of civilization. Unlike the humans who served under Bahamut, those who lived for 100,000 years as monsters and obtained significant boosts to their intellect, the human refugees from other liberated worlds like Feloria are drastically more ignorant about technology.

However, despite their ignorance, these other characters, such as Brunhilda, will provide us with many opportunities to see how the rise of civilization affects their livelihoods and prospects. We'll get to see how poorly the demons treated them before, and what they would be willing to do to break free of their chains. Cryopod is about many things, and one of its core themes is the concept of freedom. Nobody wishes to have their lives burdened by masters who care little for their existence or desires, especially humans.

Brunhilda is a fierce woman, one with a sharp tongue who has also learned how to tap into the ancient power of Qi Gong. Unlike magic, Qi Gong grants the citizens of Feloria, and especially their matriarch, with the power to manipulate elemental energy. Their powers, unrefined and barely tapped into, still grant them immense physical strength and agility. However, what if they should become more in tune with their inner energy? How far might their bodies evolve?

Of course, one may also ask themselves why Brunhilda and the other Felorians are distinct from other humans. Why can they wield 'Qi Gong,' when other humans cannot? The answer may surprise you.

Sadly, because I'll be dropping MWTX at the end of the month, I will only have a few more posts to make. The good news is, I plan to put the next couple of art posts to good use! We will get a look at the following three characters, and they will ALL be patron-only for the foreseeable future. This is because they are all characters who won't show up for quite a long time.

1. Cat Mask. Yes, I'm really going to hint at who this character actually is.

2. Stonewall. Who is this? Classic readers will know :)

3. The Bitch of Britannia. Who is this character?? Yet another instance of Classic readers knowing something Refresh readers don't.

These are the Big Three. These characters are all pivotal to the future of Cryopod's plot. I can't wait to show you their finalized artwork once the time is right!
