Vepar: The Baron of Toxicity

Today's art post is for Vepar, one of the many Barons among the demon hierarchy.

Vepar's powers revolve around poison. Her signature technique, Poison Gas Form, allows her to turn her body gaseous to avoid damage, in a manner similar to Mephisto's aetherial body. Additionally, her poisonous breath, poison spit, and poisoned nails allow her to cripple and kill opponents from a distance, as well as up close.

Vepar is a somewhat minor side character, in the grand scheme of things. She's nobody important, but she does have plenty of history among demonkind dating all the way back to the original group of demons Satan saved from Heaven.

Personality-wise, Vepar has a huge inferiority complex. Due to her hideous, half-melted body, she is shunned by her fellow demons. The poison rampaging through her system causes her constant, excruciating pain. Over 100,000 years, she has learned to live through it, but she loathes her weakness and inability to plan and strategize at the level of other high-ranking, long-lived demons like Ose, Belial, and Lucifer.

She hasn't made many appearances as of Part 172, but in the future, she may end up becoming a character I use more frequently.

The next series of posts for Cryopod will involve a 'Game of Thrones' theme.

They will be heavily based around this image I had made last year, with various demons sitting on a demonic throne. The images will represent not only the characters, but their personalities, desires, and ambitions.

Some images might end up becoming startling contrasts from one another. I have an idea planned for Ose's Throne image; something similar to this.

I'm still working on meta posts for Cryopod Refresh, but I may take a break to write the first part of Chapter 3 in the next couple of days, just to get something out there.

Once the meta posts and finished and I start reposting on HFY, my schedule for writing will resume at full speed!
