Even though my Patreon page is paused because I haven't produced any content this month, doesn't mean that I'm not doing anything.
The hours I have here and there, I try to be productive. My latest experiments involves figuring out a good Virtual Camera workflow. I've spent a whole lot of hours trying to get it to work using Unreal. In other words, exporting my 3D Scene to unreal, exporting characters, setting it up in unreal, recording, and sending the camera back to 3Ds Max. This proved to be very difficult, especially when you don't know shit about Unreal. But after several long nights of testing, I was still having issues with camera orientation and what not.
However now finally I have a good working solution that doesn't even involve Unreal. This home made virtual camera rig tracks a camera directly inside 3Ds Max while I get to see the camera movement on the iPad in real time. Happy to disclose all details about it in a video, just want to evaluate it a little bit.
However, so far so good 😍
