Virtual Camera in 3Ds Max.

Even though my Patreon page is paused because I haven't produced any content this month, doesn't mean that I'm not doing anything.

The hours I have here and there, I try to be productive. My latest experiments involves figuring out a good Virtual Camera workflow. I've spent a whole lot of hours trying to get it to work using Unreal. In other words, exporting my 3D Scene to unreal, exporting characters, setting it up in unreal, recording, and sending the camera back to 3Ds Max. This proved to be very difficult, especially when you don't know shit about Unreal. But after several long nights of testing, I was still having issues with camera orientation and what not.

However now finally I have a good working solution that doesn't even involve Unreal. This home made virtual camera rig tracks a camera directly inside 3Ds Max while I get to see the camera movement on the iPad in real time. Happy to disclose all details about it in a video, just want to evaluate it a little bit.

However, so far so good 😍

Very cool! Cant wait to see more details about it!

Absolutely, i would 100% love to dwelve into that so if you can share the trials/errands and the way you interfaced it, that would be amazing !

Hi JL! About this work that you are doing / committed in the last month, is it possible to see something? I ask you this, as it would be interesting to see something / "real life" project, how the work arrives / specifications, if it is modeled or you have to model or improve, deadlines for each product or scene, what is your approach, organization, stages to solve (modeling, shader, texturing, lighting, FS setting, post production, etc.) and delivering these types of work (if this work is modeling, product rendering or scenes of course), we could all save time ( you) and quality of content (we / supporters) with it. See if it's possible. Thanks!
