The showrunners apparently flicked through their Game of Thrones rolodex to find their leading duo. Pedro Pascal will play Joel - he was Oberyn Martell in Game of Thrones and he's also in some quaint little indie thing called The Mandalorian. Bella Ramsey will play Ellie - she's best known for her breakout performance as Lyanna Mormont.
- The Last of Us will be the first television series from PlayStation Productions - who are reportedly developing three movies and seven television shows based on PlayStation properties. Another is the Tom Holland-fronted Uncharted movie.
BlizzConline schedule released, World of Warcraft and Diablo deep dives incoming
This all-digital BlizzCon kicks off on February 19th (that's next Friday) and the newly-released schedule has given an indication of what to expect - including "What's Next?" presentations for World of Warcraft and Diablo, and a "sneak peak" at Overwatch 2.
- Blizzard have already taken steps to temper expectations ahead of BlizzConline by confirming that, despite rumours, Overwatch 2 and Diablo 4 will not be releasing until 2022 at the very earliest. It'll be interesting to see what Blizzard have in store for an all-digital BlizzCon - and we can all watch for free this time which is nice.
Is there a lawsuit on the horizon for PS5 DualSense drift?
The same law firm that brought the very first class action suit against Nintendo for Joy-Con drift have confirm they are considering whether there are grounds to bring a similar suit against Sony after multiple reports emerged of DualSense controllers experiencing drift.
- The firm, the US-based Chimicles Scwartz Kriner & Donaldson-Smith, are asking affected PS5 users to complete a form detailing their experiences as part of this information gathering session. Drift is apparently covered under the PS5's warranty - but it'll be curious to see whether a new lawsuit is indeed on the cards.
CD Projekt Red leaks have begun following cyber attack
It looks like the still-unidentified attackers are making good on their threats to release information - leaking the source code for Gwent to a hacking forum. The forum post called this the first CDPR leak, so the group are heaping the pressure on the studio after they stated they would not negotiate.
- Source code aside, so far nothing major has been published from the leak - but it could only be a matter of time. Just look at how much information is still emerging from the recent Capcom and Nintendo leaks.
