Yeah that's a tricky one. Even though we can use noise to make stainless shaders, I've never been happy with that solution because it's hard to control the angles of it on for example a kitchen tap. Usually I just use mix maps in the bump slot but it is a bit tricky to make it look good and sadly I don't think there's another way.

I did cover the lighting and there are no fill lights used except from inside the kitchen cabinets for the cabinet lighting. :-)

Johannes, is there a way to build a brushed stainless shader that also has larger noise in it? Like sheet metal? Using the noise "hack" takes up the bump slot.
