Patch 8.3 is out, and bar the Mythic race, that’s essentially it. Bugs are being fixed, balance is being worked on, and we’ll soon be settled on a ‘clear’ version of the developers intent. Content wise, we’re stepping a little bit back from the rush of news. …phew!

First, the next episode of the Complete History of Vanilla will hit YouTube. At the same time, the final main episode will hit Patreon. We have another episode on cut content in the works, but that’ll probably be a week and a bit off from this post (RE it’s Patreon release date).

Past that, Draenei. They do a whole bunch with souls, and souls are the core of the Shadowlands expansion. There’s a lot of lore to get into. This’ll likely go up this Friday. Timing is a little tight, but I hope to have it up here a little earlier.

There is a WoW UI placeholder on our planning excel sheet. That video is a bit up in the air. Time is tight, and I’m not sure it’ll have a large YT audience, but at the very least, I’ll get a blog post up here on Patreon that’ll break it down.

News

Being news, it’s impossible to predict exactly what’ll happen, but we do plan to keep out 6 videos per week schedule going. Part of this involves us having evergreen content - a little like how Jim Sterling always keeps a few Jimquisition topics in his back pocket.

We have a deep dive on exclusives that has a particular focus on Microsoft’s new strategy. After establishing industry trends, it dives into what’s going to make the new 2020 console cycle different, and how Microsoft is crafting a plan that takes their strengths & weaknesses into account.

There’s then a video on games we’re excited for. Yep - positive content! I’ve got more extended thoughts on that that I’ll share here soon, but suffice to say, we do want to highlight things we like more often.

We do roundups every Tuesday & Friday with reports on all other days bar Sunday. If a report happens on Monday, then we’d do it instead of Exclusives, and bump exclusives to Wednesday, and so on until there are no report worthy news topics. That means that the dates for 2020 games & exclusives are not set in stone, but we’ll get them posted to Patreon as soon as they’re finished production.

Past that, we’re keeping an eye on the CDL situation & I might cover the UKIE campaign. I think parts of it are wrong, but I also think that the problem of parents not bothering to learn easy to use parental controls is… well, a problem.
