WHAT A WEEK! Full Steam Ahead!

Hey everyone! Well, this has been an insane time. As I said earlier, the news channel appeared in a 16 hour period. Matt and I were talking about it over dinner on Thursday, then by the time I woke up the following morning, BAM, the Bungie news hit.

It felt like a pretty natural way to kick off the new channel, which so far seems to have been successful. We are getting significantly higher views, watch time and positive feedback than I anticipated, which has been great. I’m now actively looking into ways to better support it while not impacting the first channel - so hiring on more help.

Matt working as the channel producer for both has been fantastic so far, and has allowed me to really focus on writing. Even though we have had 3 Bellular News videos, I currently have Wrath 3 finished, a Xal’atath / Sylvanas lore video written, Wrath 4 finished, a N’zoth lore video written, the Season 2 gearing guide partially written, and an outline for a video speculating on the future of the horde.

Having someone else to deal with he day to day random problems has been great, and while he is new to it, Matt absolutely is the man for the job.

So, I’m looking into getting additional help for the news channel. We have also just purchased a major tech upgrade. Basically, a shared 10 gigabit server that’ll allow for multiple video editors to work at the same time with a shared library of footage. It’s a mighty bit of kit that should last us for years, especially since it has a massive 64TB of storage.

So, that’s what's going on around here. It’s busy, but damn, it’s so exciting. There is really cool WoW lore to talk about, 8.2 to look forward to, and a new channel to carry us through the lull until the 8.2 PTR.
